Plan A - Extention. Looking bleak.
Plan B - Play out season and Tag and Trade. Maybe not ideal
Plan C - Just laid it out.
Plan D - Play out season and let him walk.

Plan C is looking better all the time.

Of all the options trading him now is without a doubt the worst. We lose his production and any trade value he brings also unavailable this season. To make it worst we flush the cap space down the toilet on players nobody wants.

I don't know why people keep bringing this up. It's just not realistic, every time it's happened the trading team has gotten anal'd (Grudens Raiders and Khalil Mack).

They need the guy this year to compete for a championship and there's no one to replace him with. No, Suh isn't replacing him. The time to have done this was before the draft if that's the route you go. You don't even really know what you're trading the guy for pick wise if you do it now before the season starts.

There's no god damn point in talking about it. They'll let him play out the string and let him walk if it comes to that.

It's wild

If we're at a complete impasse then I'd happily settle for what the Raiders got for Mack.

Guys......We're in a championship window. We aren't in "accumulate draft picks" mode.

Sorry, but just no.

Our championship window is at least the next 10 years.

Our window is open for multiple years if Mahomes stays healthy. I don't envy Veech right now.

Mahomes can put 35 to 40 on the board pretty much anytime he wants. He's proven that. It's not like we have to have a defense that holds teams to 14 to 17 to win. Does it help? Absolutely! But it's not a deal breaker.

Weird that our 2 SB wins were the years the defense played the best. I dunno.

And the window just isn't open forever. There will be other windows open during it, but even the beloved Patriots went thru down times. It's just the way it goes.

Not until I mention him playing for the Bears next year. We'll take their 1 and a few extra picks. Chris Jones is NOT irreplaceable. In fact , with this kind of attitude after Mahomes left money on the table he's going to be a locker room CANCER.

There we go , he's now a locker room cancer. LOL!

not true but close. As long as we have Mahomes/Reid/Kelsey we will always have a chance.

We have a 2 year window before Kelsey either retires to go to media or his skills start to deteriorate. That still doesn’t mean we should make Jones the highest paid DT for the next 4/5 years.

From 2003 to 2019, they missed the playoffs 1 time. Matt Cassels 11-5 year. That pretty much an open window for 17 years. 11-5 just happened to not get them in that year.

And there were a few people before the draft this year that had the foresight to see this situation coming and suggested a trade before the draft. You guys didn't like that either.

I've listed the options in order A thru D. Unfortunately, they are all in play on this 10th day of August. None of them are that great.

With that, I'm tapping out for the day on this topic.

Can somebody look at history and provide us with a win/loss when CJ was out please.
