He's probably not going to be better than Logan.

I think the idea behind our interest is that he'll be cheaper.

He should be a Vet Min guy.

He’s close to done.

Which means we’ll probably pay him $5 million a season.

Meh.

We can find a starting CB in free agency. We can't find a starting ILB or OLB, and free agent starter DL are always a risky endeavor.

As it is, we're apparently going to add Lotulelei to replace Logan. There's just not much room to pay big money for a starting DL other than at NT, in which our options are pretty limited.

For the DL, all I want is a NT. There's been a few probably affordable guys names mentioned, like Quinton Diall or Justin Ellis. I would start Bailey and Jones and look to draft 2 DL guys (one early, maybe 2nd round and one later) and let them grow into starting roles.

OLB is pretty meh in the draft and FA, but as it looks like we are starting Ford I'd just be looking for a comeback guy, Attaochu Trent Murphy or Okafor to fill in if Ford gets injured again and Kpass is still slow to develop.

ILB there's a few decent options in FA I think. The draft is so deep at corner, but I wouldn't be against a non-splashy signing at CB. I don't want a $10m+ guy.

Yeah, not surprised. I think someone (can't remember who) immediately put him with Gettleman and the Giants early on.

Yea that was a good call, but makes a lot of sense. Same as Wilson to the Bears. That’s probably a done deal too.

That was me but I'll give the assist to hearing about gettleman every day on NY sports radio.

Logan wasn't really a bad player, but for 8 million he wasn't near good enough.

Could get 80 percent of the player for 1 mil per or something.

You guys should probably get used to hearing about it and then them actually signing players like Star. Financially, that's about all they're likely to look at. Hope I'm wrong.

But even then, the best free agents are usually those that don't cost a shit load and outperform their deal.

The problem is they will probably overpay for guys like Star

Are we not allowed to resign our own free agents until March 14th? I hope we don’t let Fulton walk

Probably have to overpay for anyone in free agency.

But we shall see.

Well this shit is about to get derailed.

I'm probably leaning away from FA Corners. Re-sign Mitchell on the cheap, dip into the draft in round 3 where you should get some talent, go with a pool of Fuller, Amerson, Nelson, Mitchell, draft pick. Almost forgot about Lampkin too, didn't he get injured in the pre-season last year?

my primary goal would be an ILB and an OLB in FA now, plus a Dlineman

Don't think they go after OLB in FA. FA is an inflated market. You're already paying Houston 20M and you're stuck paying Ford another 8.7M. You're definitely not looking to tie up even more at the position. OLB will either roll with what we've got, draft dev talent, or sign a short term role player.

CB is a candidate for FA. I hope not to go into the season with Amerson as a starter, unless they think he's a player in this system. There should be good CB talent available in rounds 2/3.

I think they draft an ILB. Maybe sign a guy to hold the gap, but ILB seems deep enough, and we could get a starter or effectual starter.

They seem focused on speed for receivers. Sep I assume talented fast WR and TE will be targets in both FA and the draft.

Basically, listening to Veach, I don't think they look for long term guys in FA unless they can land THE guy they want on 3-5 yr deals.

OL, no idea. Maybe both FA and the draft?
