ISU has the hardest schedule in the nation-
Northern Illinois at #8 Iowa vs. Kansas State* Northern Iowa Texas Tech #22 Utah at #16 Oklahoma at #5 Texas Kansas #9 Nebraska at Colorado Missouri Here lately UNI and Northern Illinois haven't been teams to laugh at either. |

What seems to make the most sense to me is the "bargain" they struck to keep the conference together. The power football schools that stood to gain the most by going to another conference were offered the lion's share of the withheld revenues from Nebraska and Colorado. This money was "tiered" so that the initial payouts from these extra revenues gave those teams more than the schools that were going to be left behind. Once those funds are gone, it just goes back to like it was except that Texas can now build their network.
Instead of bitching, schools like ISU, Mizzou, KU and KSU should be working together to build their own network instead of whining about someone else. Take advantage of the agreement and compete. Instead of pining for "something else" that isn't even there, show leadership and loyalty by doing something that reaffirms a commitment to your partners. I'm sorry, but its not everyone else's fault we're suspicious of Mizzou. |

Publically it's the reason why he's still there, but the school did not want to be seen as paying millions to buy out the football coach, and then go hat in hand to Denver begging the legislature to not cut higher ed. It was a political decision to keep him. They're not a wealthy AD, but they're not near as broke as they're perceived to be. |

Those in their 20s aren't really old enough to remember when KSU had a legit basketball program (pre-Frank, of course). |

Sorry, I just checked in.
But did Billay (the guy who types with centaur hooves) just knock K-State for losing in the Elite 8 to National Runner Up Butler? And his basketball coach is Cock Stradler? Youmake-ah-nosense, billay. |

This new Big 12 deal has shown why Nebraska left the conference.

But, like the powers to be, basketball isn't driving this greed as much as football is. |

Anyway, time to weed back through here and get opinions on the Big 12 having ten teams, and what it means to those who are left. |

When Noobraska was good, they recruited the best white-bread farm boys from across the midwest. Now, that WHOLE area is no longer Nebraska recruiting country.
That alone is awesome. Second, NO ONE on this board, aside from Nebrasktards care about ANYTHING related to Nebraska now. From now on.... echoes and crickets for Big Nbred. |
