Peter Schrager mentioned that he heard Cleveland was willing to give up a 2nd rd pick for Alex but KC loved Kendall Fuller that much. He was the deal breaker.

I like our deal better than a 2nd and possible mid round pick.

I said it last night but I'd easily take a 3rd and Fuller over just a 2nd.

If I lived in KC, I would have bought Season Tickets the second my reps office opened.

I just caught the username change. Love it. :thumb:

Me and a friend are talking about splitting cost on 4 club level season tickets.

It's a pretty perfect player - position of need, excellent production, two years left on rookie deal with six figure cap hits.

Now, if Cleveland was offering the #33 pick and the first pick in the fourth... then I would have probably taken that deal.

But I have absolutely no misgivings about what we got.

All ****ing day.

That 2nd rounder, probably 33 or 35, could be a really good player. Or maybe it won't be.

We know Fuller is good, and that 3rd rounder could be as well.

Terez said on the A Team Broadcast last night that Cleveland had a great offer but the deal fell apart because Alex Smith wouldn't agree to an extension.

Meh. Unless it was something absolutely reeruned like #4 or #33 and #35 I'm good with Fuller.

Your probably right but Fuller was a slot corner not an outside starter and there is a reason for that. He really struggled on the outside when he had his chance. Now maybe a year under his belt at the slot position gave him more confidence and he's ready for primetime on the outside but its a whole different animal out on the edge. Hope he can make the move but if not a really good slot corner is still valuable.
