The report of Veach wanting a downfield type of receiver makes me think that Albert Wilson isn’t in our plans. The guy is an Alex Smith receiver who isn’t a deep threat.

I’m really wondering who would fit that role.

Couldn't disagree more. The guy is on boo way an Alex Smith receiver. Alex required 2-3 yds of separation.

Conley is a big bodied 6'3" guy who ran a 4.35 40. He can be a drop threat, he's just want wasn't around for downfield Alex and Alex never looked to him unless he had to. He'll, Alex didn't ever seem to make it through his read progressions.

Mahomes seems indiscriminate. If you're open, you're potentially getting the ball, wether you're the 1st read or the last. Read the field really quickly post snap. Couldn't believe how fast his head snapped from one receiver to the next against Denver.

Watkins is replaceable.

I'm not sure it's a knock on Watkins so much as Kupp made him expendable. Guy showed up.

Receiver and DB positions are deep this year. Pass rush is pretty gross including what's in the draft.

Agree. I believe Chiefs scouts or Veach(can't remember which) were also pleased with the depth at linebacker in this class.

Sure they do. The Chiefs can give him a huge guarantee with serious upfront cash and a low salary for 2018, like they did with Eric Berry last year.

It's just a matter of whether or not they see him as a long term solution.

B/c of Kendall, they could find themselves knowing what the Bears have offered to try and resign him up until this point. So they could have an advantage here in knowing what the Bears are willing to pay.

I believe it. Chiefs fans are terrible at Arrowhead.

You're out of your mind if you think it's even close to the same.

Well this shit is about to get derailed.

I'm probably leaning away from FA Corners. Re-sign Mitchell on the cheap, dip into the draft in round 3 where you should get some talent, go with a pool of Fuller, Amerson, Nelson, Mitchell, draft pick. Almost forgot about Lampkin too, didn't he get injured in the pre-season last year?

my primary goal would be an ILB and an OLB in FA now, plus a Dlineman

Meh.

We can find a starting CB in free agency. We can't find a starting ILB or OLB, and free agent starter DL are always a risky endeavor.

As it is, we're apparently going to add Lotulelei to replace Logan. There's just not much room to pay big money for a starting DL other than at NT, in which our options are pretty limited.
