Now that Wilt Wiggins and company have been exposed, and Mizzou basketball is 9-0, the conversation turns to talking shit on Mizzou football...the Mizzou football team that is 11-2, SEC East champions, and ranked in the top 10.

Football
Mizzou: 11-2
Kansas: 3-9

Basketball
Mizzou: 9-0
Kansas 6-3

Mizzou is running full steam ahead in all sports and having success in the best conference in the country, and CBS devoted seven straight hours of national programming on one of the biggest sports Saturdays of the year to wall to wall Mizzou coverage.

Kansas, on the other hand, has the same dumpster fire of a football program we've come to expect, their conference is held together with bailing wire and duct tape, and their beloved basketball team is simply mediocre and struggling to sell tickets in Kansas City. Even their local television ratings are suffering.

Have fun playing with your new friends from West Virginia and Fort Worth.

The NCAA record for combined wins in a season is currently held by Kansas.

49. Good luck in you pursuit.

And still no one contacted them during realignment. Amazing.

When is realignment happening? I want to be sure not to miss it.

What record book can I find that in?

Already happened. I can see why you would not have noticed. Your school was an afterthought during the whole process. Outside of UT and OU the true power conferences picked off the teams they cared about. For whatever reason no one wanted an "immortal" school like Kansas. Who knows though maybe if realignment happens again the power conferences will wise up and snag an "immortal" school.

oh ok, cool. Thanks for filling me in. I was worried for a second my school was going to be left out in the cold.

Gator Bowl fan charter from Nebraska cancelled because of lack of interest
Thu, Dec 12, 2013 @ 8:16 pm

Associated Press

LINCOLN, Neb. | Low demand has led to the cancellation of a charter flight that had been lined up to take Nebraska fans to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Pennsylvania-based Collegiate Athletics canceled the Southwest Airlines 137-seat charter that was to fly travelers who booked through Executive Travel of Lincoln, AAA Nebraska and Allied Tour & Travel of Norfolk.

Executive Travel’s Steve Glenn said it’s the first time in 27 years that he’s had a charter to a bowl game cancelled.

Nebraska is playing 23rd-ranked Georgia for the second straight year in a bowl game. Last year Georgia beat the Huskers 45-31 in the Capital One Bowl.

Nope. You won't be left out in the cold. In fact, your conference is making sure nobody gets left out in the cold...pretty benevolent, really.

Oh, you're a mid-major school in Fort Worth with 9,000 students affiliated with the Disciples of Christ? Well...we already have a private, religious school...and we've got plenty of Texas schools already...but I'm sure we can squeeze you in.

West Virginia, you say? Well...you are one of the worst schools in the country from an academic standpoint, and you're 1,500 miles away from the closest school in our conference...well...maybe just this once. Besides, Clemson and Florida State should be here any minute, so you'll have travel partners.

When you think about it, the Big 12 is kind of the crazy cat lady of realignment. If nobody wants you, she'll take you in. It reeks of shit, and everything is filthy, but it beats sleeping out in the snow.

Fewer BCS wins since 2000 than Kansas. That never fails to amaze me how badly they've fallen. When I was growing up they were always so dominant now they're a punch line to a joke. And it's irreversible.

This year they finished 49 in Sagarin. Behind Miss State-duke-Boise-Vandy-Houston-Utah st-northern Illinois-UNC. Read that list twice for effect.

Alabama

He leveraged Bama for more money using Texas.

Did anyone think it was anything different?

Texas is a laughingstock.

I'm happy with KU's BCS and Final Four Appearances...there are some schools out there searching for their first in either. It's crazy.

Until then, they can piggy-back the success of other teams in their conference until they are good enough to one day, some day...eh...maybe, make an appearance with the other elite teams.

Congrats Nick on your new contract.
