Would Ansah play DE in a 3-4?

Have you watched him play?

He's going to be ****ed if he is playing the 3/4/5 tech in the NFL, especially against the run.


He's a 7 tech as an OLB/DE.

Hence, why most have him projected as a 4-3 DE/34 OLB

He's 6'6 275 ish.

You are correct but who says he cant put on weight.

Since we are playing a 3-4/4-3 hybrid he would only be playing half the time.

If he puts on about 15 pounds

I would love to release Baldwin and bring in DHB.

If we do end up drafting Ansah we should run primarily out of the 4-3. Ansah Poe Jackson Hali on the line with Houston taking on a Von Miller role.

That just might work but what happens to Devito.

B) Every human being is different. Some don't perform as well with excess weight. Some do. Additionally, one must try to realize what effects can occur if Ansah adds weight in regards to his skill. There's a strong possibility that additional weight kills his mobility, explosiveness, and negates his skills as a pass rusher (as he doesn't have a great bull rush or wonderful hands).

He's 6'6 273. That's ****ing excellent H/W for a 7 or 9 tech.

While he occasionally demonstrates excellent explosiveness with his hands and gets nice extension, he frequently gets blocked out of the play, especially in the run game playing the 5 tech.

He doesn't get great push playing a shaded 1 either.

He does however, have some of his best moments in this game playing the 7 as a 3-4 OLB.

Why would we drafts guy that high planning to only play him half the time?

Thats basically anybody in this draft. We have all of our needs filled except ILB

So what were gonna draft Teo or Ogletree that high even though they shouldnt just so they can start.
