Dude's a former QB as well. Gonna help a great deal in developing a rapport with 15.

Chieftain 05-06-2022 01:13 PM

He looks bulky. That's a great trait for a receiver to have. Harder to tackle and less prone to injury.

lol "doesn't do returns" this sounds like the scouts in Moneyball who were dinosaurs with their opinions

They’re not wrong.

Pat is going to almost immediately trust Skyy and will go to him often once that trust is built.

xztop123 05-06-2022 09:13 PM

Obviously no one’s feet are tyreek but he sinks his hips very violently. I’d guess he has good flexibility.

Also tyreek had short arms and muscular arms which I think can hurt with extending for balls

BWillie 05-06-2022 09:28 PM

I said Mecole Hardman would only be somewhat productive and was not a good pick when we drafted him so what I'mabout to say about Skyy is not just homer talk. Hardman can't run routes, never has. Fast guy who has to be schemed to get the ball.

Moore is the opposite of that. He will be a GREAT WR for the Chiefs. He's going to make pro bowls. He is a match made from heaven in the Reid offense. Fluid hips, cuts on a dime, wins the first five yards. He's a 1st down machine. He could become our #1 WR by the 2nd half of this season.

Buy all the stock you can in Moore. He's gonna ****ing eat.

o:-) Awesome post. Yep, the Chief's front office seemed pretty happy about this guy-plus we got a 5th thrown into the deal.

This might end up being one of the best trades in Chiefs history if both players pan out to be superstars.

Kiimo 05-06-2022 10:20 PM

He's going to do what Cooper Kupp does, even though he is nothing like him physically. Catch passes in crucial situations to keep the chains moving. Kupp became the best receiver in the league by route running and getting separation and then catching everything thrown at him.

Kupp had 145 receptions last season it's mind boggling

I’m watching these videos of Moore and it got me thinking about the connection that Mahomes had with Albert Wilson in his first start against Denver. I can see Moore as the deluxe version of that type of chemistry. If that happens it could get real fun.

Kelce is a heck of an athlete so I would never sell his shelf life short, but a similar Mahomes-Moore bond has real potential to keep us vying for a super bowl every year.

Speaking of Wilson, he's a free agent. I know he's not much but I agree that he did have a good rapport with Mahomes. I don't know that KC would bring him back in but if it's for vet minimum then he could be a solid 5th or 6th guy. In that role though, he may just be too limited by marginal special teams value.

It's pretty much a given that Toub gets at least one WR for STs. That's why a guy like Fountain or Watson is going to make the bottom end of this roster.

Tons of Chiefs chatter. You always assume WRs want to go to a situation like that. But it's nice to hear it in concrete form.

Dave Toub loved Albert Wilson for STs. Do you remember the fake punt rushing TD for Wilson at Atlanta in 2016?

That was the game where Eric Berry had the pick-6 and the pick-2 and Chiefs beat the eventual NFC champion Falcons in Atlanta.

Kiimo 05-11-2022 03:36 PM

Albert Wilson was surprisingly effective at the time but there is nobody I'd kick off the team for him this group is exciting

Have you done any looking into McDuffie?

Dude watches 4 hours of tape a day. He’s a student of the game, and his football IQ is through the roof.

And unlike Elam, his tape and entire body of work are much more clean because of that.

Elam talked a good game after getting drafted, McDuffie has been walking it throughout his college career.

It’s something that both teams will be comparing in their careers. Much like DK Metcalf vs Mecole Hardman.

Elam talked about studying the game, but he sounds like he walked out of a Mark Twain novel and directly into the NFL draft. He better hope the playbook is of the pop-up variety.

As staylor said, McDuffie ain’t exactly a slack off dumbass.

And secondly, if there’s any position for dumb guys to have the most success in the pros, it’s CB.

And not only him, Veach absolutely reloaded with this draft. Lots of talent brought in.

I don’t know why, but I’m most excited about Chenal and Ross lol.

He gets to wear 24 in the NFL?

Interesting.

Yeah it's weird, but whatever. We have a running back/defensive back number being worn by a defensive end last year, and now a wide receiver this year. Mass hysteria!

I never got used to seeing McKinnon wear #1 last year, either.
