just watched it and goddamn
lmao is all I can say. i hate that quick 3 point shot that 80% of the time bounces off the rim and into the opponents rebounder. seems like when I see that shot being taken when we're is down it usually ends in a loss |
how tf do you blow a 15 point lead to a 2-3 shit tier team lmao

I've been a huge Harris supporter but he simply can't be on the floor when McCormack is. The spacing is non-existent and Harris refuses to shoot. This offense needs to run through Remy, not Dave.
Wilson, Harris and Dave all played bad but we need guys who can score and will not make us exploitable and easy to defend. Braun played great today. Agbaji missed some shots but he did take the ball to the rim. |

I'd also guess Kansas hasn't lost consecutive games more than let's say 5 times in the past decade or more. Assuming the 2nd half today means anything at all for the future is an overreaction. |
Eh, early season loss.
I wouldn't be too concerned. |

Question is: does this become a trend or was it just a bad game? This (like practically every team) team has flaws. We know that. Will they overcome and cover those issues up? We’ll find out. I’m not worried for now. |
9-20 from the line....even with all the other issues, cost em the game
|
I’m excited. Bought my Iowa State @ Kansas tickets today. My second trip to the Field House.

They got up big on them as they should have with such a wide discrepancy in talent between the two teams. KU brought their effort level down and the other team just out efforted and worked them hard to get back in the game. They then started feeling the upset. If they learn the lesson that you can lose to a way less talented team if you don't play with some passion and effort, might be a good lesson learned come tournament time. |
Ku playing Rick Pitino today
|
Braun playing really well.

I hope we get to see more KJ Adams with the smaller lineup. He makes all the high energy plays. He won’t slow us down either.

We look better today but still a long ways to go. IMHO still too many turnovers for the quality of team we were playing against. ( 9 ) A better team going is going to take advantage with that many turnovers. We got outscored in the second half.

The hate Self is getting on Twitter for yelling at Remy during the last two games is at a level I haven’t seen in a long time.

Guys GUSH about Self. And they were big on having Self on camera a bunch in the Dayton game not sure why but I thought he was clapping and saying alright let’s go. The kind of move on and let’s get the next one stuff more than he has in prior years. And frankly, during that Dayton game, more than I thought he should have. I’d like to see him fired up Bill a little more. Maybe that doesn’t play for kids anymore. IDK. Suddenly I’m surrounded by reminders that I’m old as ****. |

Christian Braun is balling out this year. I know KC_Connection says he sucks, but he's always had talent. He's a strong body, tall, and has the hops. His side to side speed is in question but look at his stat line so far this year...
13.8 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.3 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 61.4% FG, 33% 3FG. To me the biggest thing is he's making shots close to the rim. That has been his bugaboo the last couple of years. If he can keep this up and shown that he knows how to finish and that three point shot starts to fall --- look out. |

Self had always been about tough love the moment he stepped foot on campus. Hell, since he started coaching. Not a damn thing has changed.
|
The problem with Braun is that he will disappear completely when it actually matters.

Now McCormack on the other hand..... |

And whoever mentioned McCormack is correct. WTH, Dave? Get your head straight! |
Braun has played well (for the most part) so far. Certainly has earned his minutes. He's had stretches like this before though and always reverted back to his old self when it really matters. We'll see come January.
|
We're down to #8 in the AP poll.
Duke is the new #1, obviously. |

Dayton is a talented team. They’re young and inconsistent, so they took some early losses to weak teams, but they played very well in that tourney. Let’s not forget that Dayton was one seed material just two years ago. Good coach and solid program. |
Quote:
Dayton had lost to UMass Lowell, Lipscomb, and Austin Peay heading into that game. Now they're likely better than that, but that team is pretty unlikely to be in the tournament. |

Iowa State up to #19.
6-0 isn’t too bad after only two wins all of last year. Last week beating #25 Xavier and #9 Memphis was pretty impressive. |

I see the Jayhawks are playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis over Thanksgiving next year. I may end up spending the holiday weekend in Paradise Island PBJ
|
I have two tickets, section 122 row 22 for the dec 7 game at the T-Mobile center I'd let someone have for $100 for the pair if interested.

Mark Turgeon stepped down as Maryland's head coach today. Danny Manning is interim head coach.

Well that’s a very nice start
|
Getting sloppy.
|
Letting them hang around.
|
Defense is bad on perimeter. To many 3s open.
|
Danny Manning now the HC at Maryland.
|
KU picking up the intensity.
|
Fat bald middle aged KU fan sitting in the front row on the baseline is absolutely a Chiefs fan too
|
Agbaji is looking like an AA
|
Oof Harris
|
Harris, Adams, and McCormack on the court at the same time is a bad look. Those were some really awkward offensive possessions.
|
Braun wanted another tech lol
|
Braun looks to of taken that next step.
|
That kid can ball baby!
|
Braun playing much more decisively this year, so far.
|
Braun stuffing the stat sheet. What got into this guy? He's learned how to finish at the basket and everything.

This is a pretty crazy stat. |
Braun is definitely attacking the basket more and finishing well on drives. He’s had a couple of really nice and-1’s that we didn’t see in previous years.
I was nervous that he was turning into more Brannen Greene than Svi Mykhaiuluk. He seems to have reversed course though. Hope he keeps it up. |

It's a pretty good deal unless I guess you're only using it for the lesser non-conference games that aren't on national TV...... granted, I didn't sign up for it until they started carrying the NHL this season. |

Probably wouldn’t be had there been any thought of Iowa State being 8-0 and ranked after winning two games all of last year(0-18 in conference). Complete overhaul of coaching staff and roster. |
