VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 10-24-2019 12:15 PM

He’s not having the best of seasons

RunKC 10-24-2019 12:17 PM

Wondering if we could try to ink him to a fair deal now while his stock is low? It seems like a foregone conclusion that Ogbah is going to get a good deal from some team. Sucks that we can’t keep him but I’m happy for the guy

The Franchise 10-24-2019 12:25 PM

I’d like to keep Ogbah but I don’t see it happening. I think KPass will be a damn good 3rd DE though. Who knows with Speaks though.

oldman 10-24-2019 12:29 PM

I'd rather see if we could keep Ogbah. I think we keep looking at only this year and not this year, the next, the next, and on and on. We have Nnadi and Saunders under contract. We'll probably find a way to keep Jones. Find a guy to play 2nd string behind them on the cheap. You can't pay everyone and they all can't be freaks of nature.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 10-24-2019 12:33 PM

I’d keep Ogbah and K Pass and sorry Jones but you gotta go. Tag and trade candidate. Have Saunders and Nnadi in the middle.

O.city 10-24-2019 12:35 PM

Kpass has been good this year. He needs to be on the field more, I think you could have him replace Ogbah next year for sure.

When the DL has been at it's best they've been rotating guys thru there so you just have to keep building depth there.

Ogbah has been a nice addition. The kind of guy you want to surround high caliber players with.

But im starting to feel like Kpass is maxed out. I think this is the best Kpass we'll see. Which like you said, could be suitable as a rotational piece.

Maybe, but when he's been on the field, he seems to be around the ball and make plays. He damn near ran down the Broncos RB who's name escapes me on that 4th down play last week.

I think he's developing nicely.

BryanBusby 10-24-2019 12:38 PM

Ogbah is the kind of dude that you keep if he's cheap, and enjoy the comp pick if someone gets stupid and decides to overpay to get.

Kinda what I was thinking.

He's great as a nice vet on a cheap or even a decent deal. If someone wants to get nuts, eh, thanks for your service and good luck.

Those soft tissue injuries oddly seem to heal when a player gets shipped to a contender. Just ask Jalen Ramsey.

Pats traded Bennett to Dallas for like a 6th or something.

The whole "he'll go to the Pats and be good" stuff is kinda dead now. They've not really had that much luck with that.

So everyone here actually likes the approach Veach is taking by not trading for anyone?

Sassy Squatch 10-24-2019 08:41 PM

The reality is there just ain't much worth trading for.

UChieffyBugger 10-24-2019 08:52 PM

That headline by Nate is very vague imo. "Don't expect any MAJOR player"..er is anyone really expecting anything "major" now Ramsey has gone to the Rams and Zona continue to act like clowns where PP is concerned? What I'm hoping for someone like a Preston Brown or a William Jackson type. Not major but could help is key areas. TBH I mainly just want to see a piece added to help stop the run...that's my main focus ahead of the deadline. IF Veach doesn't make a move and is content to stand pat then he should face the consequences IF this defense fails us again In January imo. We hounded Sutton because of the defense and Veach has had two years to get it right...so no more excuses.

Imon Yourside 10-24-2019 08:57 PM

Wait until we get better at stopping the run and teams decide to be more aggressive throwing the ball.

Chargem 10-25-2019 12:39 AM

The Chiefs already added Pennel as a run stuffer, and they just actually started using Ragland, again as a run stuffer.

The amount they rotate DE's inside I can't see them carrying another DT on the roster, there aren't any reasonably priced CBs out there to trade for that are worth having, so that just leaves maybe LB. But if Ragland has another good game against the run on Sunday, there's probably nothing that you could trade for that is better.

I like Veach's approach here. This isn't "the superbowl year" this is the superbowl 10 year window with Mahomes steering the ship, the only way you can **** that up is either getting the team into cap hell so you can't get enough talent to support Mahomes or getting him killed with a garbage O line.

If Pat is healthy? Yes... Isn't that we all thought was possible and expected when the season began? I get that his injury likely makes this team a playoff team with a tough road but you gotta do something add a few pieces to improve the defense. Has to be a better LB, DL out there even if it isn't an elite one.

I'm OK with it if any trade doesn't significantly help the team. Trading, just to be trading isn't wise. If this were an all-in, we'll never have another chance at the SB sesaon, my thoughts might change. But it's not, we have PMII and as long as he's here, we're in the hunt for the Lombardi.

kevrunner 10-25-2019 07:51 AM

Can Kareem Hunt be traded by the Browns before the deadline? Haven’t been able to find any official information if a player on suspension can be traded. I haven’t read anywhere that any team has been rumored to have interests in him and was wondering it is because Hunt hasn’t been officially reinstated yet.

We're four inches from the SB last year.

Total defensive overhaul, and yeah, it's taking a little while to gel. You know, because it's not Madden.

MVP will be back in a week, two tops.

Total defensive overhaul, and yeah, it's taking a little while to gel. You know, because it's not Madden.

MVP will be back in a week, two tops.

You look around the league and the only team that looks SB worthy really is the Pats, who've played nobody worth a shit.

But you think we're not a SB contender. Whatever.

JakeF is a ****ing moron.

He's a leftover Alexian.

Any chance he gets to shit on the Mahomes era he will take.

Why would the Browns take all the blowback for signing Kareem Hunt and then trade him before he's even contributed? Did I miss something?

people cant leave kareem hunt alone, wait until hes a free agent..

arrowheadnation 10-25-2019 09:45 AM

Kareem Hunt will not be back on this team as long as Clark Hunt is the owner based on principle alone. Clark is the one who had Kareem cut because he lied to him. Unless he's in to giving second chances, I don't see it happening.

BossChief 10-25-2019 10:23 AM

Can you imagine how stupid we would be to trade for Kareem Hunt at the deadline?

Cut the player and before he plays a down, trade a pick to get him back?

Laughable.

Also, I wouldn’t give up more than a late second for Slay TOPS. Even then, I’d want a 4th back.

@DanWetzel: Appears Darius Slay may be done in Detroit and thus on the trade block. Very good cornerback. Has criticized front office decisions. https://twitter.com/davebirkett/stat...66120637489154

To all those talking about Slay's age!!...would you take Peterson right now? If so HE'S 29 AND WILL BE 30 IN JULY. Would yall take Gilmore right now? IF SO HE JUST TURNED 29 IN SEPTEMBER!!...Slay is the perfect CB for us!!..experienced and In his prime. The only other team who would want to go for him are the Eagles but I doubt Detroit would want to keep him In the NFC!!.so we could have a clear path IF Veach has the balls to get it done. Imo Slay is a top five CB in this league and has the ability to take the ball away. Do folks really think we're gonna find a rookie that can transform our secondary next season? SMH.

Agreed. 29 is 15 years younger than Tom Brady's weak ass arm.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-25-2019 10:39 AM

I'd rather trade for Hunt than read another UCB post

Sure-Oz 10-25-2019 10:51 AM

@PLeonardNYDN: Janoris Jenkins: “ I just want to play football.” Doesn’t say wants to stay Giant. Doesn’t want anyone to beat around the bush, rumors. If you’re gonna trade him just do it. Likes Spag’s (Chiefs) scheme. What is a team getting in him? “I shut down one side of the field, baby.” https://twitter.com/PLeonardNYDN/sta...996800/photo/1

Are they going to carry 6 CBs?

Jenkins
Ward
Breeland
Claiborne
Fuller
Fenton

Unless they’re going to put Fuller on IR with a designation to return.

Why not carry six? The other day Breeland almost missed a game and Fuller was injured!!..getting someone like Slay would most certainly lift our secondary to another level imo.
