What's all this gossip I'm seeing from the gals who fervently watch Yellowstone that a Costner irl affair ended Yellowstone earlier than planned? Any truth to it or is that just gossip rag stuff talking.
(Show's been out of gas since Season 4, to be real). |

I hope the Duttons all die and the land getts into hotels and an amusement park.

Why couldn't MM's character be John Dutton's brother/half-brother or some other relative? |
Quote:
Oh there'd still be the occasional 3/4 day with a homer, but the flashes of brilliance were only that - flashes. The true greatness is in the rearview. And frankly, season 5 was watching Willie Mays stagger around the outfield with the Mets. You really just wish it didn't happen. I watched an episode and half the next one, then tapped out. It was simply awful. |

These last few episodes are gonna suck balls without Costner
Sheridan should've got down on his knees and begged him to stay on, but I think his ego prevented that |
Quote:
Well done sir. |

Thats why it was up to him to humble up and save this show, and he apparently refused to budge Sheridan really seems like a jackass, like him suing his own star Cole Hauser this year over a coffee brand Hauser invested in https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...ser-rcna128384 |
My problem with Sheridan is does he ever finish these series he starts? He seems a year in and is on another project and has lost interest in the others.
Whatever happened to 1921 or whatever 1 year never finished that I could find. Im to the point why start watching his stuff. |

so much hype. so much disappointment.

Its FINALLY back tonight, here is hoping Sheridan can pull it off without Costner

I hope they kill Rip. He's such a beta loser. His skank ****s the town village. Stays with her and does anything for her. Total yes man to whatever Dutton wants, too.

This show had so much more to give. Someone burned out Sheridan.

Show is dead. That was boring crap.

I only had that for a month to get the Chiefs playoff game. |

Dutton is finally dead. They all deserve death. They killed how many ranch hands at the train statoon? Kill them all.

I watched maybe 2 episodes of the first half of season 5 and realized that nobody has changed a bit. Maybe Monica but that's it. And I'd have preferred she'd been murdered and left in the desert back in season 2. |
Sheridan made the spinoff series too soon. it ruined Yellowstone, I stand by that.

Ended up watching it live on CBS and had to stay up past my bed time. |

Don't know what the deal is from them, or what is going on. |
That episode was just bad. Really really bad. Piss poor writing.
Shame bc like The Walking Dead, it had a lot of promise early on and then turned to total shit This is exactly what happened with House of Cards losing Kevin Spacey and it will play out the same way. |
They completely cut out the final conversation Beth had with John. She had just found out about all the killing via train station and had confronted Rip. No conclusion to the conversations. They went from Jimmy being a man and a learned cowboy to back to be called stupid and an idiot. Makes zero sense. The ranch hands are boring idiots that work for a ranch with no money. What happened to they don't make money story line? How do they pay for anything? The show is just getting worse. Don't cry for John, he was a killer like Rip and the ranch hands.

That stupid bitch with the dumb fake accent is still annoying.

Sad to see that the old cowboy who was in the one scene with Rip, I don’t remember ever seeing him before, passed away.

This is the glaring plot hole that really irked me
Spoiler!

4 to go. I hope Beth and RIP are dead. Where is the kid she brought there? He get thrown off the cliff?

They can't do everything in the first episode. =P |
So I read that Costner's character commits suicide? Is that true? Because if it is, I'm not watching that BS.

All right, I'll reserve judgement until I watch it. But if it sucks, you owe me a beer whenever we meet. |
Finally watched the new episode and I’m in agreement with everyone else. Maybe it will get better, but there’s just too many holes in the storyline and the writing seems pretty lazy.
|
that was an interesting scene
They do need more story, less western range opera. |
Recording this for tomorrow afternoon, just do it some kind of justice Taylor... you arrogant sumbitch
|

I laughed when they pulled out the 6666 vodka. Sheridan just pimping his ranch at this point.
This show is done |
Well that was interesting.

Been enjoying the heck out of King of Queens reruns though. Quote:

Show us just another that's gone to crap. Gangster ranchers. It's rediculous.
|
I was entertained, and these last two shows should be pretty damn good
It'll be all killer no filler from here on out, they're out of time for dicking around with Texas flashbacks and other distractions... its nut cutting time |
Quote:
But I'll probably go ahead and watch the last 2 episodes. Seems like they've pretty much set this thing up to just fire anyone and everyone into the sun. |
Quote:
|
They showed the dipshit ranch hands ride off already. I guess they are done and were always irrelevant anyway. I guess they are in Texas forever now?
|
I've seen more than enough moping around because being a cowboy is a vanishing way of life. Vikings and pirates are playing the world's smallest violin for you. LMAO
|
Quote:

"I'm gonna watch the last couple episodes because they should be beyond filler bullshit..."
{watches another music video disguised as a television show while ranch hands chase cows around} Sheridan really did put a stamp on this show about 3 years ago, didn't he? Just doesn't seem to have much story to tell anymore... EDIT:
Spoiler!
|
Such a stupid episode.
|
Quote:
Seems like they intend to leave a fair bit of this unresolved for the purposes of the rumored spin-off. I mean whatever happens from a long-term perspective just CAN'T happen in a matter of days, weeks and probably even months. They can kill off a character or two (or 5) and not reach a real resolution as to the fate of the ranch, etc... But they don't seem to be doing much to even move things in that direction. This mostly just seems to be a journey to see how things end for Jaime and they'll call that the conclusion of the story. Maybe they're looking to create a Full House style sitcom with Rip, Beth, Carter, Tate, Monica and Kaycee. Lloyd as the crazy neighbor. Makes as much sense as anything they seem to be building towards at this point. |
Someone explain this to me…
Spoiler!
|
It is so stupid after all these years Kaycee suddenly can just call a Navy buddy and gets the low down on who killed his Dad? Where was this crap when they were attacked years ago? Being a SEAL doesn't give some forever unlimited knowledge to assassin's. Pretty sure it doesn't work that way.
|
How would his friend know anything anyway? It wasn't the government that did it. I get. Its a tv show but good grief this is game of thrones ignorant. Why did the ranch hand have to die? Can they not just wrap it up in some sensible fashion? They are all killers. They lose the land and Jamie goes to jail. That's it. Rip can move and start his own ranch with the other workers. All this gangster crap is ridiculous
|
Quote:
Spoiler!
|
Yeah this was a disappointing episode
All of these major loose ends that need tied up in a hurry, and this was the best Sheridan could do? This is gonna be a Walking Dead level disappointing finale You wanna know who SHOULD have died in this episode? ****ing Jimmy, I'm so sick of Sheridan wasting time on that character, every minute spent on him could be used to further a far more interesting plot point |
Quote:
Would've been better than THIS, that's for damn sure. And if you're gonna bring back worthless characters that serve no purposes in the story, BRING BACK LARAMIE!!! That is a shapely young lady right there... |
Quote:
There just isn't enough sizzle going on this late in the game... Rips sitting around smashing glasses, Jimmy is still a worthless nerd in Texas, and Kayce somehow tracks down and threatens the elite assassin boss in like 30 seconds with no real explanation as to exactly HOW It was a hurried and sloppy episode, just like so many of these shows they'll totally botch the ending... same as TWD, GOT, and all of the rest |
Quote:
Maybe I misunderstood, but Kaycee's 'Navy buddy' is a former SEAL that went into military contracting for some company. Which would give the guy some access to who's operating where. And the guys that killed John Dutton were pros, probably military contractors, right? The evidence that the coroner discovered showed that John was grabbed in a textbook pro fashion, or so I thought I remembered. That would narrow down the possible suspects, no? |
What the hell that? That's the end?
|
Quote:
They're gonna sell the ranch to the Indian tribe (Rainwater and Mo). Makes all the sense in the world especially with Kaycee spending time recently with Mo and they brought Rainwater back into the story (Chekov's Indian). Maybe the tribe will have some sort of tax exempt status that keeps them from getting buried by property taxes? But that just seems too simple at this point. The only real question I can see is whether or not Jaime dies. I kinda don't think he will. I just don't know how Beth can simply go kill the AG. And she's not on a straight up vendetta drive at this point - she does appear to be trying to have a life for herself and a quasi-family afterwards. |
Give the land to the Indians. Whoopie. Great. They must have spent all of 20 minutes coming up with that.
|
Quote:
It's honestly been telegraphed almost the entire show. There's really no other reason to have kept Rainwater and company tagging along. Or having the shit with Kaycee and his indian visions or whatever. The whole idea that these ranches are inevitably doomed to extinction has just been overdone, though. I mean there are privately owned 500,000 acre ranches all over the country. This idea that they're just drawing dead is, frankly, kinda silly. |
So RIP gets to throw people off a cliff for 20 years and that's ok? What bullshit is that.
|
Quote:
|
Quote:
I'm going to go way out on a limb here--because it's a TV show? |
Quote:
If not him, then maybe his wife who is full blood |
It seems improbable that they can wrap this story up in just one more episode. Man, I feel like Sheridan really Justin Tucker'd this final season with his bs hubris. Ah well.
|
Quote:
Tate's still a US Citizen. I presume Monica is as well. I'm not sure any of that would actually work. But I'd imagine the tribe could take ownership of it pretty easily. |
Quote:
I predict (duh) the ranch goes to the native tribe, they've pretty much telegraphed it with previews of the finale showing the natives on horseback in warpaint... likely there to take over A nice portion of the ranch will be set aside through a legal loophole, so the Duttons can keep up the cowboy way for future generations Jamie isn't killed but ends up with a huge prison sentence, having to live with what he's done Thats my best guess |
Quote:
Almost feels too warm/fuzzy for me f it ends that way. I almost wish that the entire ranch would just go to the tribe and Jaime ends up being a permanent guest at the train station. Basically, the Dutton's lose everything. Maybe Rip and Beth ride off into the sunset. Or go to TX to start a new ranch. Somehow though, I feel like that corporation that sent the team to kill John Dutton needs to be dealt with. Which should be Beth's job. But those bastards need to be taken to the woodshed. Or the train station. |
