I'll say again: Tomlin deserves to be raked over the ****ing coals for punting late in that game. Dude has Bell and needs one yard, but everyone goes full ****ing reerun against the Patriots, and every bounce at the goal line seems to go their way.

If there is any luck regression that team shouldn't win a game for 30 years after the cabal of Brady and Belichick are gone.

He had the ball outside the end zone and then crossed the goal line with possession. What happens after the crossing does not matter. The explanation made no sense. It took Romo about three minutes of watching the replay repeatedly to say, "Oh, they could be looking at..."

Not one to say this sport is fixed - However; there is a mixture of favoritism and vague rules that make no common sense.

Obvious TD. It's doesn't matter after the ball touched the plane of the line. Clear TD and they blew it. The NFL will be apologizing but so what. Pat's once again are handed a win by the refs. Brady is the LOAT. Luckiest of all time. Overhyped bundle of sticks.

You are right, but the NFL rules don't attempt to use common sense.

I was watching with my BIL and told him "Dez Bryant against GB a few years ago".

He nodded and the result ended up being the same.

A catch should be two feet down or a knee. If the receiver loses the ball after that it's a fumble. Simple, clean, no problems.

They have gone to far with the catch rules.

Then your issue is with the rule itself and not how the refs are interpreting the rules in place. If you are going to the ground during the catch, which he was, you need to "survive the ground with control throughout".

The ground not being able to cause a fumble isn't relevant because it isn't a fumble that is being ruled, it's loss of control, which is different.

Not saying I like the rule, because I don't, but the refs don't make the rules.

This league is a total joke. Goodell and the owners think we want to see a team full of punk-ass cheaters and their bandwagon fans get handed "wins" every year, then they can't figure out why their ratings keep dropping.

Vince McMahon can't bring the XFL back fast enough. Sadly, even he is better at running a football league than Roger Goodell.
