And still no one gives a shit unless it's basketball or football. I am plenty envious of the Basketball Titles, that is for sure.... |
If Chuck doesnt pick up another win by the end of the month...he won't finish the season as the HC. Zenger isn't going anywhere and obviously needs more than an offseason to find a coach.
That said.... Who would you like us to bring in? [realistically] http://prod.static.49ers.clubs.nfl.c...itt_Jim_ci.jpg |

Here is one of them....
http://www.kubuckets.com/topic/1220/...-for-september PRAIRIE VILLAGE — Charlie Weis has put a deadline on his team to show it’s worthy of fan support. The Kansas coach, talking to a crowd of thousands on Friday during KU’s annual kickoff event at Corinth Square, said it was most important for KU fans to show up to the team's early games. “I’m only asking for September,” Weis said during his seven-minute address. “You give me September, and I’ll give you a reason to come in October and November.” |

Actually, now that he just posted, PB was the initial reporter of a Weiss firing and Bowen hiring.

I wouldn't turn Harbaugh down a second time.
|
Would our pansie ass donors go for a coach that got fired for allegedly hitting a player?
|
Chaz kinda shit on his QB.

Must-win: Weis says CMU game ‘critical’ http://www2.kusports.com/news/2014/s...game-critical/ |
TJ Carpenter@TJCarpenterWHB·15h
Who can KU hire, @ChrisMergen? My list starts with Pete Lembo, Jeremy Pruitt, Pat Narduzzi, Ruffin McNeill, and Chad Morris. Josh@mr_tomahawk·14h @TJCarpenterWHB @ChrisMergen Jim Leavitt TJ Carpenter@TJCarpenterWHB·14h @mr_tomahawk @ChrisMergen I've thought about him a lot for KU. I think he would say no. I don't know that, but I think he soured on CFB. |
Thanks Mr T

Son of Weekend Watch: Charlie Weis a short timer at Kansas? There is buzz that this week's game against Central Michigan might be make or break for Kansas' Charlie Weis. Going in, Weis is 5-21 at KU –- 2-21 against FBS competition in three seasons. The Jayhawks seem stuck in the mud coming off a 41-3 loss at Duke. Nine years after the Bush Push game that added so much hope at Notre Dame, Weis is still trying to make it work Lawrence, Kan. Kansas would have to eat the final two years of Weis' contract (worth a total of $5 million), as well as install an interim coach the rest of the season. The alternative may be losing ground -- to SMU and perhaps more schools -- for access to a young, talented pool of young, upwardly mobile assistants ready to take the next step. Eight possible replacements (in no particular order): Josh Heupel, Oklahoma offensive coordinator: Criticized by fickle OU fans at times, the 36-old Heupel has the Sooners' offense purring again. In his ninth year in Norman, the former Sooners' great has been linked to the SMU opening. David Beaty, Texas A&M receivers coach and recruiting coordinator: Has Kansas ties. Mark Mangino's receivers coach in 2008-09. Also Turner Gill's co-offensive coordinator in 2011. Jake Spavital, Texas A&M offensive coordinator: Spav has already been linked to the SMU opening. At 29, his career is reading to take off. Kansas needs someone to energize the program. Such a young talent taking over a Power 5 program would be a huge boost to Spavital and Kansas. Tom Herman, Ohio State offensive coordinator: Also linked to SMU opening. The Big Ten 2013 recruiter of the year has Big 12 familiarity at Texas (where he got his master's) and Iowa State. He was Paul Rhoads' offensive coordinator from 2009-11. The Cyclones were 18-20 in those years. They're 10-18 since. Mack Brown, former Texas coach: The ESPN analyst and former Texas coach has said he wants to coach again. Sure, it's quite a come down to Kansas but KU is in the Power 5 and Big 12. Is KU below him? Brown was intrigued by the Army job. Butch Davis, former North Carolina/Miami coach: Like Brown wants to coach again. Davis' name was never attached to NCAA infractions report at North Carolina. Baylor coordinators: D-coordinator Phil Bennett has been a head coach at SMU. Cobbled together a top 20 defense in Waco to go along with o-coordinator Phil Montgomery's offense. |

oh Hell yes |
Mack isn't dumb enough to go to career killer U.

lol mack could barely even recruit at texas
|
Heupel is an interesting option. I could get behind that. No idea if he can recruit or not, but he seems like a good coach.
|
Kirk Ferentz will be available maybe at the end of the season....if Iowa wants to buy out like 94 years of his colossal contract.

It's like the Chiefs. You've been disappointing for so long that I'm not going to get excited again until you prove it's worth being excited about. I don't care who they bring in as coach - if he turns it around, he turns it around. If not, move on to the next one.

I was moderately excited for Charlie to at least get us back to mediocre. Just another ****ing guy making money of "developing" Tom ****ing Brady. |

But, I learned that revenge (as it is) comes in different way. My kid has a successful career and life. He's traveled the country and likes his career. Several of the kids who played against him in youth futbol and as teammates in HS, are stuck in the same city. Dead end job. Dead end life. **** em. Good luck to you and them BC. |

When I played MAYB ball in high school my mom got all up in the face of these jackasses we thrashed that were talking shit. I thought we were going to have to rumble to get her out of there. That being said, mean kids in the kids own school is damn tough. Maybe they're not and I let it roll off my back, but kids now are ****ing mean. That and there seems to be a bigger disparity in "cool" stuff for the rich kids. I don't envy kids nowadays. Hopefully things calm down before mine gets to school. |

1. I don't think Dr. Z is a big fan of firing somebody in the middle of the season. 2. You have to pay him anyway, and on some levels he has been good for the team. (grades, discipline) 3. You put in an interrim head coach, likely the OC or DC, and now you've added work to a coach that probably has enough to deal with. People can blame Weis all they want, but Weis hasn't missed a tackle, a blocking assignment, fumbled a ball or thrown an interception since he arrived at KU. Our lines, O & D, just aren't getting it done. We're not going to improve until we get the horses. |

As long as Kansas is replacing coaches every 2 or 3 years, nothing is going to change. |

If it's some 17-14 sloppy win I think then we're looking at worst case scenario. |

Weis is just not a good coach for college. Look at Florida and their offense with the talent they have. Weis was just a bad hire overall. Zenger tried to go with a quick fix instead of a solid coach who he could build upon. It just so happened that it backfired. I don't hate Zenger for that. It's time to move on from Weis and find some young gun to build around. |

The talent may not be even but their is no reason it shouldn't be. KSU doesn't have any recruiting advantages over us besides coaching and that can be fixed.

Nice start! 74 yard TD run by Pierson to start the game!

Kansas just needs to quit football until the school is committed to the program. This team is pure garbage. Please Kansas just forfeit the season.
