Players restructure contracts all the time. People act like it’s such a generous act by the player. But it is not. It just means you’re pushing some guaranteed money to the back of the contract. Which makes the back years more and more guaranteed (see Deshaun Watson).

What’s way way less common is a player agreeing to a pay cut. I’ve always wondered if a player would consider giving back some of his base salary or roster bonus if it meant keeping or adding players who can help

More likely scenario is we turn his $32m roster bonus and prorate it. Mahomes’ contract is reasonable in the back years. But it’s a hand you don’t want to keep playing over and over.

He wouldn't do that simply for the precedent he'd be setting. He cares about legacy a lot, but he also isn't going to sell out the players.

ESPN nextgen stats has Dan Moore as the #11 tackle in the league in terms of pass block win rate at 93%.

That's one spot higher than Ronnie Stanley, FWIW.

Interesting. That's probably the best advanced stat I've seen from him.

Juwaan Taylor is tied with Stanley at 92%. they both had 9 penalties this year.

Stanley had 4 holding, 3 false start, two others.

Taylor had 3 holding, FIVE false starts, one other (probably illegal formation).
