I don't know why you couldn't get out of John Ross what you did Hardman to be quite honest.

Because John Ross can't stay on the field, the speed/talent has never been the issue. I mean shit he opened the season for Cincy 1 year with something stupid like 7 catches for 150 yards and 2 TDs.

He literally can not stay on the field, he makes Kadarious Toney look durable.

I could more than likely beat CEH in a race. Now he might kick my ass afterwards. But Id win the race.

Some of them were shoulder injuries, but either way, you need him for 10 snaps a game. I don't see why that's an issue if he makes the roster.

He also has inconsistent hands, in a lot of ways he's a track guy playing football.

Now if you can keep him healthy he has value because teams will be afraid of his speed but the odds it actually happens are so low.

In reality if he doesn't get hurt in preseason and shows up he will have a shot at the roster because no one else has his speed.

Yah.

In five seasons, John Ross has only managed to play ten or more games twice in a single season. And somehow he's never caught more than 28 balls in a season.

But even if he did stay healthy for a season, there's his catch rate of 43%, vs. Hardman's 69%. Dude is not the best catcher, worse even than MVS.

It's a callback to my original joke in the thread about what people say at OTAs.

This video sums it up pretty well....his speed got him way overdrafted. He does have some value because of his speed and the respect it creates but he's not a good route runner and press ****s him up because he's small.

If he was durable he'd likely always have a spot as a 3 or 4 that plays in situations but his constant injuries are why he's a bubble player.

O.city 05-24-2023 02:26 PM

You guys are reading it all wrong.

You need him to run the jet sweeps, bubble screens and a few deep posts and go routes a game.

That's it.

Well that's great if you think he can manage to not break his dick but the real question, who's spot is he taking then?

Because if John Ross is on this roster someone expected to make the team isn't.

He’s be a gadget player like Hardman. I think a lot of his time on the field could even be as a decoy.

But he’s ideal for Andy to use on jet sweeps, screens and some vertical plays. And maybe they utilize him like they did McKinnon in his first year here. Just ease him in and save him for January.

He’s making less than a million. Andy’s just playing with house money on this one

O.city 05-24-2023 02:29 PM

Andy Reid has been getting 4 or 500 yards out of guys like that his entire career.

If he stays healthy, they'll manufacture some yards with him.

They aren't keeping some shit bird 6th wr over him if he's healthy.

Mecca 05-24-2023 02:30 PM

Alright if you guys believe in John Ross...who's the WR room because at that point there is 1 spot left for 3 guys a bunch of people think are making the team.

O.city 05-24-2023 02:31 PM

Toney, Moore, Rice and MVS are locks.

Once you get past those 4......
