Wondering if today will be any different.

I highly doubt they sit tight all night. They'll trade up at least once.

I think Downs is a bit underrated by CP.

Tillman is also underrated by this board.

Benton would be a great BPA if he were around at the 2nd pick.

Otherwise, grab a WR - Rice, Hyatt, Tillman, Downs, Wilson or Mingo.

Move up in the third to make sure you grab an OT like Morris/Duncan/Freeland/Steen

I've heard the first part. What I heard about trading down is that they weren't blown away by offers.

Hope so. The way people were talking about it last night was like other teams were trying to make sure we didn't trade up in our own house after winning the SB.

I think we go WR > OT, but I would t be shocked to see a TE or DT (if Benton falls of they trade up).

I agree.

To me Scott and Downs make the most sense for us coming up.

Downs is ready to play now it's just because he's small so people immediately see a pure slot or think he's Skyy Moore.

Yeah, I'd be disappointed if they took downs with Mingo, Tillman, and Rice available. Especially at 63.

Mingo/Tillman and one of Duncan or Freeland would be a slam-dunk Day 2 for the Chiefs.

Never thought trading down was going to be a option. We already have too many late round picks. We really do not need another. Making the pick on day one in front of the fans is worth something to ownership.

I would play Downs outside.

Downs upside isn't extremely high, he has polish and route running skill so he can step in and play now, just in 4 years a guy like Mingo may be better.

To me here the guys you are getting are supposed to be good 2's.

Scott, Downs.

To get the high enough floor and gamble there might be more I move up now for Tyler Scott.

JohnnyHammersticks 04-28-2023 10:57 AM

Might not be a popular opinion but if we're taking a 170lb WR I'd rather it be Mims than Hyatt.

I've always said DE, WR, OT was my preference going in blind to anything other than team needs, value and where the talent is in the draft. I still think that's the move, with DT of CB/S after, and I'm pretty confident that's what they'll do.

JPH83 04-28-2023 11:02 AM

I actually like Downs and wouldn't be too pissed about it, but I think at some point we've got to take a swing at a guy who MIGHT make it out of the slot.
