I always get uneasy when we go up big in one half, or any team for that matter, the game usually has away of evening out.
|
Watching the Chargers, I really like what they do with their multiple TE sets. The quick-hitter to the 2nd TE is deadly. Hope Reid/Bienemy are watching.

The interceptions is what was wrong…it is like a reliever pitcher that comes in with a 3 run lead and walks the first two batters…the only job for the QB with a 27 point lead is to protect the ball and PM gave the Broncos three gifts…
You can also blame the play calling that insisted on passing it too. |
I can only hope the play-calling gets a little more innovative in the playoffs. Outside of 15’s improvisational skills, the offense seems scaled back somehow. In a way not related to T. Hill being in FL. Not so much the playbook in general, but the situational play-calling, adjustments and sequence of plays. (Not complaining about 10 and 3.)

And I actually wonder if the Bills have caught on and that's why the game in KC earlier this season wasn't higher scoring, as both teams were holding back a bit.... and the Bills used to run up the score on everyone, and don't seem as hellbent on doing that all the time now. |
This is going to be the most vanilla offense and defense KC will play for the rest of the season. Probably. Some people were posting about it a week or so ago. All the remaining teams after the CIN game were bottom-feeders that likely could be dominated early in games using as basic an offense and defense as possible.
And it worked. It just ended up that DEN made more plays than they usually do and made the game closer than most of us would like. Gotta stop throwing INTs though. Without those, the game would've been a laugher. |
