Homework doesn't help much if the teacher is drunk all the time...

Be skeptical all you want.

Even better, watch just about any other team's ST play for 4 weeks. It's mostly a shitshow out there in the NFL. And nearly every team in the league would love to have Toub on their staff.

I think everyone does.

The nice part is that if he turns out to be a bust, we're not out anything of significance. It's like getting a free bet.

At first I was like there is no way Toney is returning punts and kickoffs because he had 1 punt return in NY, but he returned kickoffs and punts every year in college. Pacheco hadnt returned kicks since his freshmen year and they didn't have a problem letting him return kicks.

So will they have him returning kicks, because if he doesn't I think that means they think he might actually contribute on offense and want him focusing on the playbook.

Yeah, kinda weird for someone to bitch about the ST Coordinator because of a couple muffed punts.

All I know is absolutely nothing about analyzing specials teams, so I'll defer to the vast vast vast majority of people that say he's the best special teams coach in the league.

All depends on how he performs in practice. But I read somewhere that Toney has just one more return than Skyy or something like that.

Like I said earlier, some guys just can't reliably catch a kick.

CP needs something to bitch about. Probably nothing more complicated than that.

Heck, just the few pieces of primetime games I've seen this season tells you that we're pretty buttoned up on ST vs. the rest of the league. The only team with a better kicker situation than KC is BAL, and that's only because they have Tucker. Outside of Tucker, they don't do anything better than KC does ST-wise.

And every other special-teams unit in the league is far below KC's, year in and year out. Basically, our ST unit is boring. They do their jobs every game. We've had a couple miscues this season and a bit last season, but we've also had a little merry-go-round with our returners during the same period. We got spoiled because for awhile there Tyreek was our returner and the whole time he was doing it he only made like two mistakes, and otherwise he did something special every other time he caught it. After that it was a carousel of rookies, including Hardman, so of course CP went nuclear every time Hardman didn't run one back for a TD (as if Hill did, but rose-colored glasses). Heck, one game I remember a couple years back people were upset with Hardman because he waved for a fair catch maybe a smidge early.

Mostly CP is populated with some good to great football minds, but sometimes CP gets pretty stupid about dumb shit as well.

Role ??? To be a Tyreek type of decoy with a few plays here and there and be another great return guy.

BINGO !!

Yes. One or two well timed offensive plays that maximize his skills set and KR/PR

What I was getting at is Toney had a lot of returns in college. As a senior he had 7 kick returns and 11 punt returns. Moore and Pacheco didn't have hardly any in college. Moore with 1 punt return and 3 kick returns in his 3 years of college. Moore sucks shit at punt returning and they keep running him out there. Pacheco hadn't returned any kicks since his freshmen year.

Originally I thought there was a very small chance of him returning kicks or punts based on him having 1 return while with the Giants.

Moore has 12 punt returns for 84 yards. His 7 yards per return is like 35th in the league. His long of 15 is also 35th in the league. On top of being awful at it he's had 1 costly fumble and the other easily could have ****ed us over.

So with Moore being atrocious and a liability, then that definitely increases the chances of Toney returning punts for us. Add in the fact that Toney returned a bunch of kicks in college and it should be a no brainer.

6 total TDs (one PR)

Still think he could easily make these #s.

I really hope JJSS is okay. But that was a bad concussion, so I won't be surprised if hes out a couple weeks.

That said, Kad is probably going to get a lot more playing time and targets if JJSS doesn't suit up next week. Going to need his particular skills vs. that LAC pass rush.
