I was just wondering what you think about the idea of catching passes from Patrick Mahomes, and if that is something you might be interested in? We just happen to have your position available on the team at the moment, if you hadn't heard....."

Chris Conley upside. For a 6th rounder, Id be cool with that.

Love WR’s that don’t have to use their body to corral the ball.

He doesn't seem bothered by contact, either. Looks like he can make catches when he's well covered and being bumped around. That's something you didn't really see with Conley, or even Hardman.

Have we cut this piece of shit yet?

I don't want to get too high on the prospect of this kid, but when was the last time we had a physical receiver in his mold? I hope he wows everyone and wins the X position THIS year.

Agreed. I’ve been watching some of his stuff on YouTube and there is untapped potential in his frame. Perfect fit for the ‘X’ role.

If he can pick up the playbook, I think he could immediately produce more than our other current options would. There’s just some uniqueness to him that I think could turn into a steal.

Our entire day 3 set of picks have high ceilings IMHO. Will they all meet them? No, but I think Powell might actually have the best chance of the bunch.

If he wasn’t 24 he would’ve been drafted in day 2

Hammock Parties 05-02-2021 11:19 AM

He really is the perfect complement to Tyreek and Kelce.

He's like right in between those guys and does stuff they can't do.

Chris Conley. And he was actually quite good for us in 2018 when Sammy missed a lot of games.

I can't remember Conley breaking tackles like Powell did in college, but I suppose that's not a bad comparison.

Feels like Conley never lived up to his numbers or potential here; he was a pretty decent receiver for Jax.

Tyreek can literally do everything. Need a contested ball catch check. Need him to run any route check. Need him to run jet sweeps check.

Conley was just a big target who had a good connection with Patrick and somewhat reliable hands. He was also benefitting from Kareem Hunt drawing the defense’s focus instead of dropping 7-8 into coverage.

Powell reminds me of what we had in Maclin, albeit slower, but smooth routes and solid hands. And he’s stronger..

This guy is a ****ing beast. Tyreek isn't running through five guys on any play.

He could bring a little of what Bowe gave us in that intermediate range. We haven't had anyone like that since.
