Avery is out for a few more weeks, it was Jenkins. It wasn't a catch downfield, it was a busted screen that he somehow escaped.

Keg, I didn't see your edit because it was in a different page but I completely agree with every word

The point doesn't stand because there is no point. I'm not giving the qb any credit when a wr takes a wr screen however long for a td

Agreed. Not sure why these are counted in qb stats at all.

I remember we had these threads for Cassel.

We really did.

O.city 10-20-2014 09:59 PM

Cassel never put up those numbers against those ranked defenses with said opposing qbs being whi they are.

I really don't know how you can shoot holes in the 3-3 start the Chiefs are on. To be that playing the schedule they have, maybe, just maybe, this is a good football team

You are always going to have these threads unless you land a qb like luck or have a first ballot HOFer like manning. It's just the nature of the position. Unfortunately those rare players are extremely hard to find. Maybe it's a good thing that they are so rare... How does the saying go? If everyone is special then no one is.

No. Because Trent Green once led the ****ing NFL in passing.

Alex Smith is no Trent Green.

Trent green seems to think he's pretty good. But i never watched Trent myself so i can't compare them.

How many QBs in the league could do what Alex Smith has done this year in this offense?

I would say half at the minimum. More like 15-20.

Just tell them: no deep balls, short passes, no passes into double coverage, give the ball to your RB and eat time off the clock.

Hell I would imagine Peyton or Brady in this system would be like 23/25 220 yards and one to two tds and zero picks every game if you told them they could only throw high percentage throws.

So if a QB has a terrible offensive line, or the RB F"s up on a designed block play and gets our QB sacked ur saying alex's QBR on ESPN goes down because of that?

I wouldn't use that QBR system then and I don't know why u would either.. making a QB's rating worse because hes sacked beacause of someone else is idiotic.

Hey, the Royals are in the World Series and the Chiefs won a meaningful game.
