Im sure they can score, but can they stop ANYONE? Especially, when the Chargers new Head coach, is their former OC. He is going to know better than anyone how to attack that defense. And Andy Reid has beat up on John Fox for years.

Mike McCoy is not a good coach. I was hoping he would get an HC offer just to get him out of Denver. The day that it came out that he was going to a division rival was like Christmas morning. If I could clone him twice so he could also coach KC and OAK, I would.

The idea that our defense has no talent outside of Von is an interesting one, and it seems to be gaining a lot of traction around here. Can you maybe back up your position with some data?

This is a Chiefs board. It is up to you to prove us wrong.

My main gripe with McCoy was that we always seemed to start games off very slow. Even with Manning, we started out slow in the first half of games early in the season.

He does seem to be good at making adjustments at halftime though. We have been a much better second half team than a first half team during his time here. And you do have to give him credit for coming up with a new offense midseason to cater to Tebow's strengths.

I don't count out Forrest...ever. I wouldn't bet on him right now either though...he's 37 and had a series of surgeries on his neck...there's only so much a guy can do.

...but Manning at 75% is still better than most other QB's. Here's to hoping he can't get it done this year, but I'm not betting on it.

There are rumors the Broncos are trying to trade Champ Bailey to the Bucs for Mike Glennon. transplant perhaps?

He did not come up with that offense. He tried to force Tebow into a conventional offense, then when it did not perform well, Tebow had to teach the offense how to run the option. Look it up, there were articles about Tebow teaching his teammates what to do.

Similarly, when Manning arrived, he tried to force a conventional offense with almost no hurry up. When the offense wasn't as good as it should have been, Manning had to teach the offense how to run his system.

I'd be surprised if the halftime adjustments were due to anything McCoy did rather than Manning.

You still have to give McCoy credit for completely changing his offense on the fly like that. And yeah, Tebow did have some input on the offense but McCoy and his staff broke down college tape too to find stuff that would work with Tebow.

And ever since Shanahan left we have been a better second half team than a first half team. It was like that with Orton, was like that with Tebow, and it was like that at the beginning of the Manning era.

BigMeatballDave 07-18-2013 08:27 PM

Manning era. LMAO

An Era is not defined by 2-3 seasons of playoff choking football.
