Yep, and the Redskins have set the market price.

Not many teams will pay that kind of price.

Two future firsts and a second isn't the ridiculous sum that many made it out to be for a player whom an organization believes is a franchise QB.

the Talking Can 09-25-2012 03:04 PM

raiders and jets could be willing to move up if they want...neither seems afraid to trade picks

Here are the teams that he has taking QBs in the first 3 rounds.

Browns - Barkley
Jaguars - Wilson
Chiefs - Smith
Bills - Bray
Cardinals - Manuel
Giants - Glennon

O.city 09-25-2012 03:10 PM

Yes and kolb

The way the nfl has been so far 6-10 might be enough

And Fitzpatrick

So lets look at this thing.

What teams are for sure out of the qb comp next year?

Pats-Brady
Broncos-Manning
Packers-Rodgers
Saints-Brees
Texans-Schaub
Vikings-Ponder
Falcons-Ryan
Panthers-Cam
Giants- Eli
Cowboys- Romo
Colts-Luck
Skins-RGIII
Titans-Locker
Eagles-Vick
Seahawks-Wilson
9ers-Smith
So you have teams in question

Jags-Will they move on from Gabbert?
Cardinals-Kolb and Skelton have a chance at staying?
Raiders-Palmer staying?
Bills- Gave Fitz a big contract, will they move on this fast?
Chiefs-know they need to move on.

Who am I missing?

I'm not convinced that Harbaugh wouldn't aggressively try to upgrade on A. Smith if he had a chance.

It's not like they desperately need the draft picks to fill holes in SF, why not dump an entire draft to go after Barkley or Geno? He doesn't seem enamored with Alex.

I would list the 49ers and Cowboys as dark horses.

Depends on what they do this year. If Romo has a year like last year and the defense is better, they likely won't be looking. Same with the 9ers.

Browns are a curious case, I don't think they would think twice about grabbing another qb. Phins and Jags I don't think really would at this point, as they don't really have anything around their QB's.

O.city 09-25-2012 05:06 PM

Looked around at some draft sites, so far they aren't as high on Geno.

He's in the same situation as RG3 was last year. No one was talking about RG3 at this point last season either. He was projected as a 3rd round pick. If Geno can continue putting up numbers against quality opponents then you'll see him creep up draft boards because the once unanimous top tier QBs aren't exactly lighting shit up. So far Geno has played... nobody.

O.city 09-25-2012 05:15 PM

I think a QB will end up being the top pick, but it's getting to a point where most teams already have their QB or have drafted one in the first round recently and aren't yet ready to move on.
