My thoughts exactly, pointless handwringing.

LMAOLMAOLMAO REALLY? That's it? I knew they were going to be pretty tame posts since this ban is BS, but I didn't expect them to be THAT tame. ROFL

So, a vote that is at 57-5 doesn't matter? I get that this isn't a democracy, but when 92% of people voting think that he shouldn't have been banned, then maybe things should be reevaluated.

Setsuna 01-15-2012 07:47 PM

I want him even though I hated his virtual guts.

No. We must accept that the mods know what is best for CP and do our best not to quesion their impeccable judgement. After all, it is a thankless job and the rules are equally enforced for every poster.

I am a firm believer in banning porn spammers. Hootie isnt a porn spammer, but Hootie is who we thought he is. all he wants is attention, and you're all giving it to him. hes like a mini gochiefs.

I dont think anybody should be banned. I like a self policing state.

Setsuna 01-15-2012 08:01 PM

How the heck is Gonzo a mod? I question leadership. And banning should be banned.

2112 01-15-2012 08:01 PM

Do people on here really resort to reporting posts now? :spock: WOW, i say get rid of that ****ing button.

Considering only a few people know the whole story regarding his first of three permabans, the results aren't surprising. Out of those 57 votes, I wonder how many know the whole story and didn't vote based on false information like "Hootie was banned because he spoke out against the DoTY contest" or by simply looking at some of his posts and not knowing why he was on a short leash, etc.

He was permabanned, he knows it was a bannable offense, and obviously shouldn't have been invited back once, much less twice. He couldn't go a month without calling people out, carrying arguments from thread to thread, and attacking people, after already being permabanned twice & specifically being told to let things go. Phobia explains it here, too. How many of the 57 posts considered all of that? Since most of it is buried in a 1200 post thread, I'm guessing not many.

And that's why we took the damn field.

Most all of us know his history. We may not know all the details or whatever, but anyone can feel to share them. I would say he shouldn't have been banned int he first place, and he has always gotten under certain mod's skin where other people get into the same kinds of personal attacks and the like but never get banned.

Anyway, the bottom line is that he was let back and didn't do anything at all to get banned again.

Even Hootie knew the 1St ban was warranted. There's more there than meets the eye.

Wow didn't know all of us were spineless whiners who get hurt when someone talks bad about us with some curse words mixed in. He attacked me and I fought back, but I'm not huddled in a corner, popping pills contemplating suicide. This is crazy. Isn't there an ignore feature? If he's attacking someone, they need to ignore him, how hard is that? Must be lazy cry babies.
