I think just canceling it is the right call. Not sure what the outcome should be or how it should be handled, but there’s no easy way to play this one.

I do not know

Her take is that 9 minutes of CPR doesn’t necessarily mean anything regarding brain damage as it just means they needed to continue getting blood flowing to brain until he regained consciousness. Good CPR for nine minutes when done quickly enough from beginning can lead to full recovery.

Says intubation occurred in ambulance and since they waited for the family he was likely critical but stable and either in and out of consciousness or conscious. Couldn’t imagine they would wait to go to the hospital if he remained unconscious, even for family.

Says going to ICU and being intubated means you are automatically listed in critical condition and is not an indication necessarily of severity. Says they will have to run tests for potential brain damage.

Thanks for this. Still a reason for hope then.

OK, so they just restarted the MNF broadcast lik3 20 minutes ago...this is really bad...I mean, at this point, you have to do something, but replaying the broadcast...this makes no sense. Run a 30 for 30 or something...

What? Van Pelt is on my ESPN

Yep.

They can push their other games back to Monday night.

Something like that probably ends up happening. Unless they decide to push their entire playoff schedule back a week but I'm sure that is the last thing they'd ever want to do.

Some people will never know when to stop the show.

I think you have to be correct UNLESS maybe if he dies

if he dies.. I really have no idea how they would handle that

Hopefully.

That means he has a chance.

Yes but then what?

Just watched the replay of the hit - and I'll preface this with I have little medical training - but it looked to me like the brunt of the hit was from the right shoulder onto the left chest area. I know that an impact hard enough on chest (from airbags or an NFL football collision) around the area of the heart is enough to stop it from beating....wondering if this is what happened
