#1 - the cop is supposed to be in control and act the part of....hmm....let's call it...."the adult". so if somebody is being a turd....childish if you will....then it is the cop, who has been trained to deal with this kind of crap, and who is in charge of the situation....it is the cops duty to act as "the adult" and not lower himself down to the level of the turd in question. this cop completely failed in all of this. he was simply poking the bear....knowing the bear couldn't do shit about it. In other news, FOX fired Ariel Helwani. He will no longer appear on FS1 or their fight night shows.

He didn't get into the reason or criticize anyone because he didn't want to burn any bridges, and he still has a full time job covering MMA online, but everyone thinks the last straw was his interview with Rory MacDonald on his weekly online show, where they got into his contract and whether he will test free agency. The UFC didn't like that, and it also put FOX in a weird spot where MMA journalism was getting in the way of business (FOX doesn't want one of their employees in any way encouraging a UFC fighter to explore options outside the UFC).

The cop literally calls him "sir" throughout the entire confrontation and you think he stooped to Jones' level. Man, you are some kind of stupid.

Looks like Jon Jones will still be able to fight at UFC 197. The ABQ DA is going to ask the judge to extend his probation with 3 new restrictions, while still allowing him to leave for employment purposes.

So here's a sign that 1) The UFC doesn't think Cejudo will win, and 2) Mighty Mouse has thoroughly cleaned out his division.

huh. Tony Ferguson had some kind of lung trauma, and the doctors told him he had to rest, and that a fight in less than 2 weeks could be fatal.

Machida failed his drug test for an unspecified anti doping violation. Fight with Hendo is off

New York's governor just signed the MMA bill, and the UFC announced their first New York event at MSG on November 12th.

Lyoto Machida fully admitted to it, and said he did not know that one of the supplements he takes contains a banned substance. (WADA called it an "anabolic agent") It wasn't tainted, it is supposed to contain a substance that is banned by WADA/USADA.

He said he even filled out a questionnaire before the test asking him to list the supplements he's taking, and the USADA rep looked at it and was like "uhhh, this supplement here, didn't you know it contains a banned substance"? Not surprisingly, he then tested positive.

The fight card this weekend is still pretty good, but it was great by free TV standards.

Mark Hunt signed a 6-fight "multi-million" dollar contract with the UFC. He believes he will retire at the end of the contract.

So, at least $2MM. If thats what he's getting, then its at least $333K/fight
