I thought both Buffalo and the Chiefs are playing on Saturday?

No, Buffalo plays Sunday. NFL doesn't give a shit about competitive fairness.

If its bad, the game has to be forfeit i think. Whatever that outcome is. Tie, no game played, whatever. Neither team should be forced to play in that situation.

If he's okay, maybe they play Wednesday? But you really can't extend this for very long.

It's even more complicated than that... Prayers to Hamlin, and hope he recovers, but from a logistic standpoint, this is a nightmare. Not only for the NFL and playoffs, but this was Championship week in Fantasy for millions of people and two of the best teams were playing with many teams having starters to decide championships. Again, not being disrespectful, just thinking about the nightmare of the situation for the players health, the NFL and fantasy leagues.

Her take is that 9 minutes of CPR doesn’t necessarily mean anything regarding brain damage as it just means they needed to continue getting blood flowing to brain until he regained consciousness. Good CPR for nine minutes when done quickly enough from beginning can lead to full recovery.

Says intubation occurred in ambulance and since they waited for the family he was likely critical but stable and either in and out of consciousness or conscious. Couldn’t imagine they would wait to go to the hospital if he remained unconscious, even for family.

Says going to ICU and being intubated means you are automatically listed in critical condition and is not an indication necessarily of severity. Says they will have to run tests for potential brain damage.

Again, thanks for bringing in the good professional information to the masses here. It’s much needed.

No, it would be an advantage for the Chiefs, assuming both teams win their last game.

14-3 Chiefs > 13-3 Bills

Which is again why I envision this getting played this week.

Apparently he has a toy drive that he raises money for. More than $100k has been donated in the last 10 minutes.

Yeah I think they actually did a gracious job in an incredibly stressful scenario where every word is scrutinized

There are 2 options. Play tomorrow or Buffalo forfeits is my guess. Can’t imagine anything else is an option.

Sure does help ESPN has their A team talent on tonight since it was a monster game with Buck and Van Pelt ready to go with SportsCenter afterwards.
