The Chiefs have enough depth at DL to pick and choose their spots with Jones if he’s not a full-on go.

They can scheme pressure from the DL if needed. The Texans are especially bad at communicating on the OL and handing stunts and blitzes, which plays to the Chiefs’ favor/scheme.

Stop worrying about pre-Mahomes history. It is meaningless. All that matters is KC is 1-1 in the playoffs in this era, and the loss was one offsides penalty away from the Super Bowl with an incredibly inept defensive coordinator.

History doesn’t play games. Players do. In the playoffs, no one matters more than the elite QB.

Sane post.

Can I tell you a secret?

I have the same confidence in the Chiefs this year that I had in the Royals that season, based not in homer-dom but in analysis of matchups.

The Ravens are the Blue Jays in this story.

I’ve been thinking this exact same thing! AWESOME!

“The Texans have a negative point differential this season, and such teams are 0-7 straight up and 1-6 against the spread in divisional-round playoff games.“

This is just about clicks.

The only way this game is close, like a one possession game is if we allow it to be or if Watson plays lights out for 60 minutes which he wont.

Watson is usually incredible for about 5 min a game and a lot of meh for the other 55. Unless the Chiefs O shits the bed they will be adding points to the scoreboard during Watsons meh time.

Hell Josh Allen outplayed Watson for the majority of the game but the Bills left him time at the end after leaving points on the field all day long and he made them pay. Now the Chiefs D is not as good as the Bills ,but the Chiefs O will not leave so many points on the field that Watson has an opportunity to put one incredible drive together at the end to win it.

I suppose my only concern would be the Chiefs D reverting back to their worst and allowing the Texans scoring drives when the Texans/Watson are playing their usual meh offense.

Is Houston the team that blows a 6-2 lead in the top of the 8th 4th quarter?

I actually think our D is playing better than buffalo lately but I agree with everything else.

Nothing for love but my peeps here. :insert Ron Paul it’s happening GIf:

Even the ones being pussies and thinking that the Chiefs past playoff failures with dogshit leftovers at QB have any bearing on this season.

1-7 in our last 8 home playoff games will do that to a fanbase.

Man they should have a gigantic tarp over the field at arrowhead to keep it dry, no idea why they don't do that.

Or maybe they do? I'm worried they have such faith in the field draining and heating technology that they don't need to put a tarp over it, but maybe I'm wrong

Like I said earlier... games QBed by garbage game managers (other teams’ trash) like Steve Bobo, Elvis Grbac, Matt Cassel, and Alex Smith are meaningless.

It’s like flipping a coin. Just because I got 1 heads and 7 tails in my last 8 flips doesn’t have any effect on what I get on my next flip.

With a coin flip, it’s a true 50/50 prop each time. Fortunately, the Chiefs have a much better chance than 50/50 tomorrow.
