Detroit is the only team I know of that managed to drive two legitimately generational players into retirement because they simply sucked so bad.

They're 0-4 in Super Bowls and haven't played in one since the 1970s.

And one of those teams was a 15-1 team with prime Randy Moss. IIRC, Morten Anderson missed a makeable field goal after having the highest field goal percentage that season in NFL history that kept them out of the Super Bowl. Bru-tal.

Yeah, he's not terrible however he's just good enough to break your heart. Chiefs fans have seen a ton of those over the years. Get your hopes up and then reality sets in when a better QB shows you what you really wish you had.

Vikings fans have had it worse than Cardinals or Lions fans. The Vikings every decade have a heartbreaking playoff loss that just makes no sense at all. They are the most successful franchise by winning percentage without a Super Bowl win. They are consistently good. That is what makes them snakebitten.

The Lions and Cardinals fans don't have those emotional highs brought now to lows because they generally suck.

It hurts more to fall at the peak than reside in the valley.
