that's how i read the bylaws. page 14.

This one gets pretty good at the end.. you know.. after winning the bowl game that was better than the bowl Mizzou, KS, and KState went to.

Iowa St.

Cute.

KcMizzou 06-14-2010 07:09 PM

All things considered, I guess I'm pretty happy with the way things seem to have worked out. Every team in the conference gets a lot better deal than they had before (Even if Texas still gets by far the biggest the slice of the pie.) Mizzou, KU, and KSU stick together... (Nice not to lose the rivalries, and HUGE for KC.) And... nobody gets hung out to dry.

It could have been better for my particular favorite school... but it's still better than what we had. And for KC, ISU, Baylor, and probably KSU it's the best possible outcome.

Like I said before, now I'm ready to put it behind us and get to the games.

BWillie 06-14-2010 07:11 PM

The new Big Ten (Big 12) needs to add at least two teams of great value. Otherwise this is a band aid and we'll just get picked apart next time expansion time starts. I hope Beebe is proactive this time. But I don't think Texas wants to share any revenue so that may be difficult.

Happy? Oh hell no. Nationally we got some egg on our face. In the conference we lost some credibility. And ultimately we'd have still been better off in the B10.

But could it have been worse? Much much much worse. We could've ended up in the Big East traveling to VT. We could've ended up in the MWC (ugh). We could've ended up homeless.

Alden sucks and sucks hard, but ultimately he lucked into only marginal damage.

I'd still love to see Cincy and Louisville come on board, I hate the idea of a 10 team league and the annual ass-raping we'll get from OU/TX. At least with the divisional format we'd still get a crack at the B12 championship game a lot of years.

Eh, it's a bit of a relief, but I'm still irritated.

for ku, this is far and away the best outcome....ku fans whining about it as if ku had clout in the world is hilarious...

kept rivalries and travel and time zone and gained $$$ and got rid of colorado

only neg is losing nebraska football

great potential for bball conference...

now take a deep breath, and go get a couple schools in a year...

#1 - Louisville...resources and desire to compete in football, top bball brand...big east has worst football contract, i think
#2 - not sure...maybe cinci, maybe byu

Woah now, slow down.

We were forced to play Jimmy Fing Costello.

Yeah, Arnaud would've been on Mizzou's depth chart and would've been a pretty handy guy to have when Gabbert was limping around against OSU and Tx.

Screw you, Blaine Dalton.

Let's not get crazy here. Whoever the No. 2 QB on our depth chart is apparently sucked bad enough that Pinkel wouldn't put him in the Nebraska game even after Sue ripped Gabbert's foot off.

that contract is ancient these days, and will be multiplied by about a factor of 2 or 2.5 next time around. split 10 ways instead of 12.

In a year or two, even Baylor will likely earn more than Nebraska until the Huskers are gradually phased into a full share.

Maybe but maybe not. Gabbert is a good player but he played like shit vs Navy you can't deny that.

And Zac Lee is an alright QB. If you Mizzou fans are going to say you'd win more games if Gabbert wasn't hurt i'll say the same thing about Zac Lee who was playing with a torn elbow all year.

That's a damn sight more diplomatic than I would've put it.

I hope we beat those husker mother****ers so bad that it kills Tom Osborne and sets the program back a decade. I hope Lincoln is so upset that they burn the town down and kill half the residents in a firey ****ing blaze.

I hope the Huskers spend the next decade sucking up the slag left behind by Northwestern and Indiana.

If I could figure out what one step short of wishing the "Marshall Option" on them would be, I would. As it stands, I'll have to hope we just annihalate the assholes on their own turf.

And I didn't feel this way at all until that cocksucking old geezer decided it would be funny to hurl MU under the bus on his way out the door. I had a lot of respect for the Huskers and their fans. With this, that pack of ****ing Fredos is dead to me.

It'll never happen. If Delany had any interest in Missouri or valued us at all he never would have played us like that. Even if the conference had collapsed, we'd have ended up elsewhere.

Sure anyone would take Gabbert over Lee. But the argument that Nebraska would have won more games with Gabbert isn't exactly true. Did you watch Nebraska games? Not sure who Gabbert would have gotten the ball to besides Paul.

Yea Gabbert is a dual option QB

So it was ok for Gabbert to suck because he had a sprained ankle. Yet Lee sucked because he had a torn elbow yet thats not a valid excuse?

I will bet you casino cash Lee is an improved QB this year.

10TDs, 14 INTs. Sounds like the only players who got open must not have had an "N" on their helmets.

Are you ****ing kidding?

Lee ran for 1.7 YPC with healthy legs (171 freakin' yards).

Gabbert ran for 2.0 YPC with a gimpy ankle for half the season (over 200 yards). Gabbert ran for 180 yards in the last 3 games of the year after his ankle finally got a chance to heal. He ran fo 80 in the 3 games before his injury.

Gabbert's significantly faster. He's significantly stronger.

You're a goddamn moron.

The site I looked at listed INTs first, and I flip-flopped them. 14 TDs, 10 INTs, 2143 yards. My mistake.

Blaine Gabbert: 24 TDs, 9 INTs ,3,593 yards

That's weird Gabberts ankle was fine vs Navy and they got their asses kicked.

Damn, you're right.

Being completely unable to stop the run and having to pass like crazy to try to get back into the game totally has a bearing on Gabbert's ability to run the football.

It really is like picking on a reeruned kid.

Just because Gabbert threw for 1,450 more yards and 10 more touchdowns with fewer interceptions while running for more yards and more TDs on a bad ankle doesn't mean that he's better than Lee.

Alot of excuses being made for your princess.

And what games would Gabbert have won that Lee didn't win? Besides maybe Va Tech even so that game was not Lees fault.

Where did I say Lee was a better QB then Gabbert? Again you have to make shit up it's because you have nothing else.

Saul Good 06-14-2010 08:31 PM

Danario Alexander receiving: 1,781 yards 14 TDs
Zac Lee passing: 2,143 yards 14 TDs

Of course not.

The smaller, slower, less effective passer and runner was a much better fit for the offense, such as it was.

And remember, Nebraska missed a chance at a BCS game because of a game they lost by one ****ing point when their QB went 6 of 19 with THREE interceptions and a 17 passer rating.

He's right, Gabbert wouldn't have made a difference for them last season...

Idiot.

Uh, that kinda important game you guys played toward the end of the season where Lee managed to step on his dick on about 5 separate occasions. Ring a bell?

No excuses being made here at all. Gabbert was a significantly better QB than Lee all season long, both rushing and passing, despite injuries. I don't need excuses, I have the better horse.

Billay, you are just throwing things out at hoping it sticks at this point. Might as well take a seat with this one.
