The ****? No no no it doesn't work that way and any past injury to other players were ****ing meaningless too

****ing idiotic. Absolutely despise this trend of failed grifting doctors hopping on social media and using general knowledge of injuries to try and diagnose someone they've had absolutely no contact with.

You have to also count the people in this thread that were saying the MRI's are very accurate and he has no torn ligaments.

I'm not doctor, but if he's still in a brace like that I'm thinking this isn't something small. That sucks, but the team needs to plan accordingly.

It's depressing as hell that the dude was looking like one of the top 3 or 4 WRs in the entire NFL and he gets hurt like that in week 4. Now we won't see him again until maybe October of 2025. Who knows if he will be able to play at such a high level like that once he does return. To be honest Mahomes is a god but that was the most ticked I've ever been at him after that play.

If you REALLY want to get depressed, we may not get him until 2026 depending on how bad Goodell wants to jam us up.

^worst case scenario, obviously

Who was the guy that had made the video within ten minutes of the injury?

That's the same sort of brace I was given immediately after my ACL surgery. It was really bulky and sucked, but I only ended up wearing it for a day or two before going to another one that was far less restrictive.

I obviously don't know the context of this photo, but if it was taken immediately after surgery I wouldn't read too much into it.

I wish I had your enthusiasm, but the longer we go with no specific news suggests it's not small. Again, the team needs to ensure they're ready for him being gone long term. No doubt they're well aware of what the doctors are thinking, but the longer this goes on without so much as a "this is what it is", the more I think they're playing a game of sorts.

Yep. That whole play was just catastrophically bad. :shake:

Worst INT in team history other than the pick we got from Dee's offsides. I use that one as an example since for a brief moment we were headed to our first Superbowl in 50 years and then the disappointment of being screwed by a call only Brady gets.

This team we have maybe the best WR in the league go down on 2 stupid decisions by our HOF QB

The news was his ACL is intact he had a small LCL tear and a hamstring tear.

Its literally just about the best possible outcome.

TheGuardian 10-11-2024 12:27 PM

I was gonna follow up with that - it's literally the absolute best case we coulda had.

Minor LCL tear and a hamstring tendon tear. I mean, he won't have an future issues with this

If he's still wearing that monstrosity a month from now, then we've got a problem. But I seriously doubt that will be the case.
