List confirmed my sense this was the worst GDT of the season. Something to bear in mind. There is likely in many cases a correspondence between really wanting the Chiefs to win and expressing over the top frustration. So with a couple exceptions I don't think traitors applies at all.

My contention about how any of this can matter is that when you're reading the thing during the game, which is fun when it's going well, the panicked posting just adds to the anxiety and bad vibe (although it can also be comic relief). As long as everybody has a sense of humor about it it's entertaining to have a thread to chronicle how bad it gets for nonjudgmental laughs, but it need not be used for shaming (except bigjosh, are you ok buddy? jk).

I'm not sure if I posted in the GDT this week or not (*edit hah - 20 posts or so actually), maybe just a bit. But as soon as I went into it (around end of 1st quarter) I was like "I should just go right back out". It was the same bunch of chuckleheads doing what they always do. I don't know why the same 6 or 8 people are allowed to crap all over it every week with their toddler tantrums tbh... should be chucking them out

I will admit I yell shit at my TV in the comfort of my home that is similar to what is posted sometimes… Everyone gets frustrated… But… I don’t take the time to post those feelings because I’m know it’s a gut reaction to a mistake on the field… Counting out Mahomes and the Chiefs has been a folly for many a shit post… I just choose not to be one of them..

People spent 3 decades hoping "let's get to the playoffs and see what happens!" with brokedick quarterbacks... and now we're so spoiled, we don't even want to go to the playoffs if they're not the best in the league. :facepalm:

Hopefully this will be reminiscent of KU in 2012... those tournament games were excruciating, but getting to the final game with incredibly low expectations was glorious.

This is my personal winner though... anyone who says Mahomes can go **** himself gets moved to the top of my list. As I'm sure was mentioned in the GDT and has said many times before, a few people really deserve the misery of pre-Mahomes.

Speaking of KU hoops....I remember watching the game vs Kentucky at Allen Fieldhouse in 2022 and KU getting shellacked. I said to Mr Plow, this team isn't going very far this year. Boy was I wrong. Glad I was, though. :)

And yeah, I remember The Guardian making that comment in the game thread and thinking what a buffoon. Glad to see that many people called him out for that comment. This year may not have been Pat's best, but he still has 4k yards passing. Imagine how much better he would have been without all those dropped passes and some of the offensive line issues.

Then I’m unique based on your expansive history of interacting with successful people who post on CP. That means a lot, JH. And what a sample size to base your conclusions on too!

I own a 24’ M240i…you can decide for yourself if my car is fast. 60mph comes in under 4 seconds and it’ll do the quarter in 12 seconds at 112mph. That’s plenty fast for my daily driver :)

The offense has gotten worse throughout the course of the season. Frustratingly, disappointingly worse. It’s not even up for discussion.

They have Mahomes who is god but don’t as a whole deserve the benefit of the doubt in any way, shape, or form. So if fans want to vent during a GDT, let them do it and let it be cathartic.

I think we still have a shot to make a run in the playoffs and have never been remotely defeatist and unrealistically pessimistic. But I don’t think we need to live in a world where people who get frustrated and express it on this forum need to be called out.

I agree with you for the most part. But when people are extreme, they get called out for it. It's been that way on CP for as long as I can remember, though not in a thread like this.
