We passed at a chance at Tom Brady?

We better fire every scout, coach, and owner that made that decision.

It's just ridiculous that the Alex homers scream 'FANTASY FOOTBALL' when one brings up yards or touchdown statistics.

There's a couple of things at play here.

1.

person a) CHIEFS WIN!!!!
person b) uhm, yeah, uh well, Smith only had 230 yds passing and one TD.

person a) thinks/says : well goddammm.. isn't winning good? not enough?

2.

person b) nots enuff deap passess!

You do realize that, even for Tom Brady, perhaps the best QB in the history of the earth, ultimate success rested more on total team competence than 'fantasy football' passing stats? MoF, the more 'Alex-esque' Brady was early in his career, the further his team went towards the ultimate prize.

I'm sensing a bit of moving goalpost on what we want out of Alex lately as well.

For the longest it was 'I understand Andy's philosophy, Alex doesn' have to chuck it all the time. I just want to be reassured he's CAPABLE.'

Then as soon as he demonstrates he's capable, it's 'where's this kind of output week in, week out. Is he declining? Has he lost is SINCE LAST EFFING WEEK/MONTH? Moar moar MOAR!!!'

Outside a rough patch against a pumped Texans team and a SUPER pumped Steelers team, both early and on the road. We've had a pretty pedestrian stroll this season. Games haven't been super tight. Andy's noticeably put the brakes on playcalling to preserve large leads numerous times. The one time we needed and had a chance at a big comeback, Alex put on ONE **** of a show against the Chargers.

Now we're battling injuries and getting back [or dealing with the loss of] historically superstars for us, as opposed to superior teams.

So what is it, what are we looking for?

230 yds and a td isn't enough to beat Pitt or NE.

Let's ask Justin Houston, JMac, and others in that same boat how they feel about that... yes?

I know those big, scary linemen and LB's can be difficult to navigate, but there's this thing called..."timing".

It's pretty cool!

This week, "Sunday" shall henceforth be proclaimed "Funday".

Thank you.

Paul Posluszny is having a really good year and I can see them switching Ramsey over to Kelce pretty easy.

There is a lot of "trap game" about this one IMO.

On the road...maybe. KC's defense is too good....and first place is on the line. They arent ignoring this game at all....if anything, having Ware and Smith out...has everyone's attention.

I'd agree it seems trappy, but with so many injuries and Foles starting, does the " rally 'round the backups" aspect cancel out the trap game element?

I don't think that'll happen honestly. But I'd rather go down swinging than lose again with Smith. I think the ceiling is higher with Foles because of his big arm. I'm ok with rolling with Smith, however, because he's shown the ability to play bigger in playoff games and at times with key players hurt and out.

Have you recently checked NFL team win loss records and the interceptions thrown by their starting quarterbacks in 2016?

Amazingly enough, it does happen. Honestly.

This is the saving grace along with Ford starting to get confident and having fun out there. Otherwise I'm worried as well.

Conversely, it's just ridiculous that the Alex haters scream "Game Manager! or Doesn't go deep!" when one brings up his win/loss record during his time quarterbacking the Chiefs.

Whattttt? Peyton Manning threw for 176 yards and 2 td's to beat them last year. And the year before that, Joe Flacco threw for almost 300 yards and 2 td's, yet lost. Sooo, which is it? All about the QB or more so about the gameplan and entire team when it comes to the playoffs?

Mother****erJones 11-04-2016 09:48 PM

Reid will have this team heavily focused because of the injuries. Got to keep pace with Denver and Oakland.
