You do realize that, even for Tom Brady, perhaps the best QB in the history of the earth, ultimate success rested more on total team competence than 'fantasy football' passing stats? MoF, the more 'Alex-esque' Brady was early in his career, the further his team went towards the ultimate prize.
I'm sensing a bit of moving goalpost on what we want out of Alex lately as well.
For the longest it was 'I understand Andy's philosophy, Alex doesn' have to chuck it all the time. I just want to be reassured he's CAPABLE.'
Then as soon as he demonstrates he's capable, it's 'where's this kind of output week in, week out. Is he declining? Has he lost is SINCE LAST EFFING WEEK/MONTH? Moar moar MOAR!!!'
Outside a rough patch against a pumped Texans team and a SUPER pumped Steelers team, both early and on the road. We've had a pretty pedestrian stroll this season. Games haven't been super tight. Andy's noticeably put the brakes on playcalling to preserve large leads numerous times. The one time we needed and had a chance at a big comeback, Alex put on ONE **** of a show against the Chargers.
Now we're battling injuries and getting back [or dealing with the loss of] historically superstars for us, as opposed to superior teams.
So what is it, what are we looking for?
