Michael Jordan FTA a game 8.2.
SGA FTA a game 7.0.

Do you hate Jordan?

He's averaged about 9.5/gm over the last 3 seasons.

And the league was allowing guys to literally attack Jordan in order to defend him. The Jordan Rules were centered on just beating the shit out of the guy.

Those ain't the sorts of fouls they're calling with SGA.

Your argument is stupid here and you know it.

I don’t know who the comp is for SGA historically but it certainly isn’t MJ. They play nothing alike.

He’s like a mix of Wade and Ginobili.

Playoff game atmosphere tonight.

Ginobili? You've got to be bullshiting me.

Knew that one would trigger you but it’s accurate. Both slithery/sneaky high IQ players with great defense.

Curry is hurt and that might be the pivoting point in this LA/GS game.

Now back to talking about the perceived Western conference championship matchup (OKC/LA).

Al Bundy 04-03-2025 10:44 PM

That was a hell of a road win for the Warriors.

BWillie 04-03-2025 10:55 PM

Luka is such a chucker.

It's a good win.

But the Lakers bench played about as poorly as I've ever seen a bench play and really Luka's shot was off all night.

Doesn't seem replicable.

Lakers weren’t getting the offensive rebounds in the 1st half even though they had size advantage.

Warriors have a top rated defense and that probably played a bigger role versus LA bench being off. But both teams scored a 100+.

Warriors being tested again against Denver and they look like a very capable/determined team since the Butler trade.

Eh - the Lakers (the bench and Luka) were just missing good looks.

I'll credit the defense when it forces a tough shot but all too often yesterday it wasn't. The Lakers had plenty of good shots, DFS and Vincent for certain. And they just missed 'em.

DFS has gotten a lot of credit for defensive improvements in LA but his shot has been erratic as hell. Some nights he's good for 6/8 and others he's 1/7. He's taken that streak shooting mantle from Reaves (who's just been ****ing outstanding in the 2nd half).

Him and Vincent have to be better in the playoffs. And if Luka's gonna shoot 9 three balls/gm, he needs to be as well. He's made 3 of his last 24 three point attempts. And at least to his credit, he stopped shooting them yesterday (I don't think he took a 3 in the second half; at least I don't recall one).

The bench just can't be that bad. And it can't be that bad AND that predictable. They took 15 shots last night -- 11 of them from 3. Only 1 assist to 2 turnovers and 7 fouls committed. They were just really shitty. You're not gonna beat a good team like the Warriors playing with a bench that's actively hurting you.

It was just a fun game to watch, all the way through.

If the Thunder win tonight at Houston they aren't losing again this regular season and winning 70 games.

Unless they decide to just rest everyone vs the Lakers. Which they might.

If OKC decides to go full out in both games of a meaningless B2B against the Lakers a week before the playoffs just so they can win 70 games, that's the kind of mistake that should get somebody fired.

Their entire focus needs to be winning a NBA championship.
