Hardman was so damn good at jet sweeps. The way he could plant and turn up field always impressed me.

I don’t see a natural on the team for those this year. Toney would be the obvious pick, but I don’t need him taking any unnecessary hits.

Moore is probably the next in line. He’s quick and slipper enough, but he’ll likely never break one.

I thought James looked good on his jet sweep, picking up 9 yards

Because Mahomes doesn't need a great receiver to be productive. But he can't so much bring roster chaff up to NFL caliber starters, either.

There's diminishing marginal returns on talent at WR once you get past 'NFL' level. He can't make much more out of Hill than Hill's capable of on his own. And he can't make Demarcus Robinson into a 700 yard guy.

But give him 3 Richie James sorts and he can get more out of them than you'll pay for. And that's absolutely critical going forward as he's not getting any cheaper and the caps not gonna get any easier to navigate.

So cap efficiency is critical and more depth is going to yield more efficiency for us than more ceiling.

While I agree… Kelce is WR1 whether we call him that or not. He’s as good as a “WR1”, at half the salary of one. I have nothing but faith in Veach/Reid/Mahomes, but I hope one of these guys turns into WR1 because we only have so much time left with Zeus.

I had no idea our WRs were this slow. They should make them check in as eligible receivers every time they're on the field

Did he really say that?

He said it about Gehrig Dieter years ago

he's had 2.

Both of which came on his first target of the game. And in both games he shook them off and caught everything else that came his way.

I'm not too worried about the drops. Yet.

I think he'll get that ironed out as he gets over those early-game nerves with experience.

He did say it but as I remember it, and I could be wrong, as more making fun of Gehrig while also saying how much slower of everyone is than Tyreek. I want to say he was talking about an overthrow and laughed it off in that way, like, “yeah, when you’re used to throwing deep to Tyreek, you’re gonna overthrow these regular guys from time to time” sort of thing.

GTFO with that nonsense. That's a real Wendler of a take

Kelce dropped his first pass Saturday, too. Of course it was a little early,..

It's a Wendler take to say the only negative thing is he's had some drops? Defensive as **** I'm glad my identity isn't a football team. Your a loser man

How many receivers have a perfect ratio of catches in any given game? It rarely happens. The dude had ONE drop. On a hard throw by Mahomes.

BossChief 08-21-2023 04:41 PM

He’s the “in shape Todd Haley coached” Dwayne Bowe. Right down to the physicalness, focus drops, strong RAC and willingness to go over the middle. He’s Dwayne Bowe as a better route runner.

Each ball he dropped represented one of his testicles dropping. He’s a grown man now.

Dhop had a perfect season. 105-for-105.

Kiimo 08-21-2023 07:15 PM

He doesn't remind me of DBowe at all. Whoever said Aiyuk nailed it. Aiyuk had a 1000 yards and 8 touchdowns last season and that would be absolutely great.
