As of today they are 4 or so million over the cap. Even after all the cuts the cap situation isn't great.

And they can cut Hali and be just fine before the 14th.

They aren't over the cap. The salary cap is going to be 177.2 mill. Their top 51 right now before all these cuts is 175.628 million.

I'm seeing total liabilities at 181 and some change.

Are you including the dead money for Jah Rule and Maclin?

You only count the top 51 towards the cap number. Not total liabilities.

That's not counting any figures beyond the cutoff.

Total liabilities equals obligations and dead cap..

Freaking Bell. 13 mil not enough. I need 14.5 per year. That is stupid money that no RB is worth. They are a dime a dozen and if I'm the Steelers I would take an RB in round 2 and **** Bell. Trade his ass to the NFC.

Listened to Matt Miller’s podcast. Holy shit if we somehow got Sammy freaking Watkins..

I don't trust Watkins on anything other than a 1 year deal and I think that teams with massive cap space, like the 49ers, Browns, et al, will put in better offers.

I think Watkins can thrive with a warm weather team but I wouldn't trust him, at all, in KC during November, December and January.

He's fragile.

The only reason why I’m not expecting Watkins is that I think he’s likely a prove it deal candidate, and I can’t see him signing a 1 yr deal to be the 4th option in our offense.

But if they can make it happen, I’m all for it.

I would love Watkins but I also find it unlikely he would sign here. I must say though that the guy would have the potential to be the 1st option in our offense. It is just that he for sure would be playing with other quality options.

I didn’t pay attention to him at LA but a guy like him would be amazing.

The report of Veach wanting a downfield type of receiver makes me think that Albert Wilson isn’t in our plans. The guy is an Alex Smith receiver who isn’t a deep threat.

I’m really wondering who would fit that role.

Buckweath 03-05-2018 08:45 PM

Jordan Matthews could be a great get IMO. Possibly cheap and with good potential.

I think it's pretty damning if the Rams let him walk a year after trading a starting corner and a 2nd round to get.

It would be the right decision, too. Joyner is the player they should be tagging.

Watch this video: https://youtu.be/wzrwEpKYHWk

That’s what we’ve saw that Watkins can do when a QB gives him opportunities. He’d be one-on-one year every snap damn near with Reek and Kelce garnering attention.

I’m all about it.
