How much did you think he would sign for before today?

Reread his contract. Unless I am missing something the guarantee is a lot more if he is still on the team in 2 years.

It's $72M over 3 years. The 4th year has no guaranteed money.

You're just assuming that's the course of events. The reality is we have no idea what the situation was and whether or not Tyreek had any intention of signing another long-term deal in KC.

The Chiefs couldn't have done anything to keep him if he didn't want to be here. That's also an assumption but until it is proven completely wrong, it's always a possibility.

Uhh, yes. We could've. Tag and trade.

But we went out to lesser teams on the field in 2018 and 2020. “There is always next year” is still true, but it doesn’t feel the same as it did when I got out of bed this morning.

At least we got that one ring. Imagine how bad all this would suck w/o jet-chip-wasp.

That 4th year is a wash. It’s $72 million over three years….plus his cap hit for this year. Yeah….$25 million is around what Brady and Carr are getting paid.

Not in 2022. The tag is already being used.

I've been saying this ever since that ass whooping Tampa dropped on us in the Super Bowl.

I felt like we'd wasted a couple massive opportunities in 2018 and 2020 that would come back to bite us. I was pleasantly surprised we made it back to the AFCCG last year but then we blew it even worse than any of the others.

If we'd won another Super Bowl in any one of 2018, 2020 or 2021, I wouldn't even give a shit about this move. In fact I might even have been all for it.

And then somehow we would get more back for him? The league just showed you what Adams and Hill were worth. You may not like it…but that’s what happened.

Why do you keep bringing up only the guaranteed money while at the same time crediting the years that are included in the full $120M?

Stop being the moron you are.

They wouldn't have had to tag him until next year. But there is no certainty he wouldn't hold out this season.

And having another player making "business decisions" like my avatar doesn't sound entertaining.
