John Oehser of the Jaguars' team website "believes" the team will not re-sign free agent Allen Robinson.

The deadline to use the franchise tag is Tuesday, and there's been very little chatter of the Jaguars actually doing that with Robinson over the last week. It sounds as if the team isn't comfortable committing that much guaranteed money to a receiver coming off a torn ACL, and they may prefer to use it elsewhere on fellow free agents CB Aaron Colvin and WR Marqise Lee. Robinson is still just 24 and is expected to be 100 percent for the offseason. He'll have a hot market.

That is not good. Think that means we're 4.1 mil over right now before pending moves.

What were we expecting? I don't pay close enough attention to the cap

Red Dawg 03-05-2018 06:08 PM

Over? How are we over?

The cap was projected to be at about 179m, which the Chiefs were about 2.5m over on.

Red Dawg 03-05-2018 06:12 PM

Until Smith is official?

No, we are at about 175m in our top 51. 2M in free space without the pending trades and inevitable move from hali.

It's not March 14th, so.

After the moves we know are gonna happen, they will have around 17 in space and will need to reserve about 4 for in season signings and rookies.

13 mil left to play with.

I'm not anticipating anything on Tamba till it happens

Alex $17 million
Peters-$1.3 millon
Parker-$4.9 million

I’m seeing around $20 million after those moves

They will be around 24m assuming all known cuts and they get rid of Tamba.

Parker, Alex and Tamba saves almost 30 million by themselves. Chiefs are going to have a little over 30 million in cap space to work with.
