I don't think either of you arguing over superiority are correct. Going back the last 7 years, these are the numbers of teams finishing in the top 25 and top 10 respectively each year. The Big 12 has 28 team finishes in the top 25 over 7 years with 9 top 10's. The Big 10 has 26 top 25 and 11 top 10's.

Exactly Rutgers and Maryland are by far the biggest head scratching adds for any of the power conferences in the whole realignment process.

That's why they couldn't, and magically got better in a new conference? Big12 also does better against other conferences do than the B1G. It's also easier to get ranked in any other conference because they mostly play easier schedules, and have a few extra "free wins".
