Nothing says you're capable of assessing intelligence like claiming everyone else is dumb.

Should be a really fun football season. Will be interesting to see how some of this shifting impacts the conferences.

FloridaMan88 08-23-2024 08:47 PM

Would create an epic basketball conference.

It would, but they don't bring any value in football, and I know some Big 12 AD's are against it at the moment.

Its still very early and premature at this point.

Basically pull the SEC football move and make sure you’ve got a champion every other season.

We’ll see how it goes but I’d love to watch those matchups multiple times a year. You could get 4 KU/Uconn matchups and do substantial numbers

Pasta Little Brioni 08-24-2024 04:11 AM

Big 12 finally getting a bluebood in UCONN?

Basketball has more long term potential revenue wise. The NCAA has squandered the revenue potential.

**** uconn. I don't want them to benefit from us whatsoever.

ForeverIowan 08-24-2024 07:40 AM

Yorkark operating with the belief basketball will be a much more significant revenue driver in the future. I personally think they already have enough basketball brands on board to be the #1 basketball conference for the foreseeable future. Would much rather prefer they solidify football and go hard after FSU, Clemson, Miami and Virginia Tech. If Uconn and Gonzaga want to join for basketball ONLY I am all for it. Dont need a doormat football program in Uconn joining though.

4 major conferences sounds about right.

The Pac 12 2 is back from the dead.

The Pac-12 is poaching four Mountain West schools to join Oregon State and Washington State in an effort to preserve the league. Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State and Fresno State applied for Pac-12 membership and all have been accepted, the conference announced on Thursday. They will officially become Pac-12 members on July 1, 2026.
