I'll say this -- I didn't care when they did it. I don't care now.
That said -- compare Bronny to any other 2nd rounder. Compare him to anyone taken anywhere near him.
He MIGHT get 1st round consideration in a re-draft right now. Not early, obviously, but 25-30 range. Because he's shown improvement this year and has, at times, dominated the G-League.
That's the PEAK of any reasonable expectations you'd put on a mid-late 2nd rounder.
The pick has worked out well for LA. Now the hoopla around it is ridiculous, but ultimately the odds of James contributing more at the NBA level than anyone taken in the 2nd (certainly anyone available to LA) are pretty damn good.
Nepotism or no, he's earned his keep in the G-League and most players who have runs like he has had at that level WILL get a cup of coffee here and there in the NBA.
It isn't worth talking about at this point. Water found its level.
