After fruitless efforts to consolidate into fewer total but better quality picks in the 2nd and 3rd round, I decided my best strategy this year was actually to lean heavily into day 3 guys I like. I’m executing a single trade which has equal trade up and trade down in it. I’m essentially swapping the top half of my draft with the Colts. Because of the ambiguous nature of the trade, I’m going with the 15% discount factor.

Tacoma Trash Panda - Initial 2025 Picks:

1-31
2-63
3-95
4-133
5-167
6-207
7-226
7-251
7-257

Tacoma Trash Panda - Executed “Pre-draft” Trades (Chiefs):

1-31 for 1-32 and 5-164 (Chiefs draft day trade)

Tacoma Trash Panda - Executed “Draft Day” Trades (Chiefs):

The Trash Pandas trade picks 32 (184 points), 95 (40 points), 133 (18 points), and 167 (9 points) to the Indianapolis Colts totaling 251 points (213.35 with a 15% discount)

In exchange they receive picks 45 (131 points), 80 (56 points), 127 (20 points), 189 (6 points) and 190 (6 points) from the Colts totaling 213 points.

Tacoma Trash Panda - Final 2025 Draft Capital:

2-45
2-63
3-80
4-127
5-164
6-189
6-190
6-207
7-226
7-251
7-257

I spent more time than I care to admit trying to piece together this puzzle. Initially my selections looked pretty similar to Crow’s, but that wasn’t letting me holistically do what I wanted to do. I also wanted to deviate from having significant overlap in our picks.

I desperately wanted to take Jayden Higgins or Luther Burden to address my WR issues, but I think the reality is both have a lot of competition for receptions and likely will be blocked from breaking out for a few years. I think they both will, just not on my timeline. After swinging and missing 3x last year on getting an immediate impact receiver, I’m going to be patient and let last years trio bake for another season before I decide to invest more early capital at WR again. This decision was made easier because of Horton and Lane being available in the middle rounds. I like both, and both landed in great situations to get early touches (IMO).

Tacoma Trash Panda - 2025 Draft Selections:

2-45: JT Tuimoloau, Edge, Ohio State (Colts @ #45)

2-63: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina (Cowboys @ #76)

3-80: Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa (Steelers @ #83)

4-127: Jaylin Lane, WR, Virginia Tech (Commanders @ #128)

5-164: Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State (Seahawks @ #166)

6-189: Tahj Brooks, RB, Texas Tech (Bengals @ #193)

6-190: Cameron Williams, OT, Texas (Eagles @ #207)

6-207: Aeneas Peebles, DT, Virginia Tech (Ravens @ #210)

7-226: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas (Dolphins @ #231)

7-251: Fadil Diggs, Edge/OLB, Syracuse (Saints @ #254)

7-257: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas (Falcons @ UDFA)

UDFA: Jared Ivey, Edge, Mississippi (Seahawks @ UDFA)
UDFA: Seth McLaughlin, OC, Ohio State (Bengals @ UDFA)
UDFA: Logan Brown, OT, Kansas (Vikings @ UDFA)

(Note: I don’t plan on adding any Chief’s UDFA’s. I’m going to challenge myself to only pick my own UDFA’s moving forward per the new allowance.)

It's fun to see how strongly we diverge from each other in the same draft.
