Hell, I think he wishes he had Orlando Brown the last 2 years. But they’re still finding ways to win even with a shitty LT & WR situation.

Gonna get real freaking ugly around there next year when Higgins is gone and recently paid Chase is suddenly always "injured". Cant wait to see how Burrow looks.

Really?

Mahomes has magically tranformed into Dilfer because he's coasting through the regular season and Burrow isn't getting felated by the national media because your defense is substandard?

the defense played below their standards today, actually. Mahomes made huge plays when he needed to. Like that 3rd and 12 run for example.

The “elite” defense had a not so great day. Minshew hit them for 2 TD and 0 INT with a high passer rating.

This team is mentally soft. Burrow was something like 11/12 for 70 yds and a TD on a 17 play 10:04 drive to start the game.

Mc****face misses a FG attempt while they're up 10-3 and then Lou does his typical-as-of-late shitty defense and gives up a 3rd and long and the Eagles end up tying the game at the half.

After the missed kick, it was like all the wind was taken out of the sails.

Charmin soft.

Totally fell apart on both sides of the ball in that 2nd half. 10-10 at halftime and end up 34-17. Kind of similar to what Dallas is doing tonight. They were up 10-6 at halftime and Niners killed ‘em 21-0 in 3rd quarter.

29 year old Mahomes, coming off two Super Bowls, who has his team undefeated, is freaking just falling apart physically.

Burrow, who turns 28 in December, who will be damn lucky to make the playoffs while playing w two elite receivers, and has two severe season ending injuries in his career, is ascending! Best football ahead of that guy!

They gave up like 4 straight TD drives and had a TD run called back late. I'm not sure of the specifics. By that time i was chatting with some fam and munching on my taco pizza.

We have been doing that the whole career of Mahomes. After the 1st SB, they would lose regular season games when they were the far superior team. All that mattered and gets their 100% maximum effort is the playoffs and a SB run.

Taylor is good enough as a HC. He needs to hand off play calling to the OC and just oversee the entire game. He has zero awareness of what is working and what isn't and/or who is hot and who isn't. He's so busy being tied up in play calling that he doesn't pay attention to the D when the O is on the sidelines.

He needs to be watching the game and giving input to the OC and DC about what he wants do do, vs what is and isn't working.

Lou has his moments but he's tied to that damn rush 3 drop 8 defense all the time and he's been burnt by it so many times. Giving up multiple 3rd and longs from the same scheme should be a clue that it's not working, but he just doesn't get it.

They're still way too pass happy and even though they don't run it all that well, they've had success with some things that they just don't do enough.

The entire problem is that they're all too stubborn to make any kinds of changes like these. They think, if they stay the course it will eventually work out. "Better execution" is a catch phrase but it's true in most instances. That said, there are tweaks they could do, but they seem unwilling to try them.

RaidersOftheCellar 10-28-2024 09:02 AM

You know the Bengals r faulked when he starts calling Mahomes an average QB. :)

RaidersOftheCellar 10-28-2024 09:05 AM

It's funny that people want to discredit Mahomes because he finally has a good defense. As if defense wasn't 80% of the reason for Cincy's playoff runs.

When Mahomes has a bad defense, he still wins 12+ games.

Lmao Mahomes came into the league with the worst defense in the NFL. In his first year as a starter, with that 32nd ranked defense, he hung 5,000 yards and 50 TDs en route to winning NFL MVP. He lost to Brady in overtime of the AFCCG. A far cry from Burrow this year who is going to miss the playoffs.

Are you dumb or just stupid?

The rush 3 drop 8 defense works wonders against Mahomes, which is wild other teams carve it up.

I've never been a fan of head coaches calling the offense. They can't see on the field what a guy up high can see.

Yet the best play callers are head coaches calling plays from the sidelines.

It's ****ing weird. It gives Mahomes fits but other teams tear it to shreds near effortlessly.

I think it's because the Chiefs offense is so dependent on spacing. By flooding the back end with defenders, it gives the d line more time to get home. It's just the perfect scheme against a timing offense that hasn't had a great LT in quite a while.

R faulk, apologize. I was right about the Bengals before the season. Just....Admit...it

They're not tearing it to shreds, they're just converting on 3rd and longs at too high a clip.

Chiefs

Ravens/Bills/Texans

Rest of AFC not worth mentioning

Here is why you get nothing.

Reason #1 - You say every single player and team that's not a Chief sucks. So basically, when you say everyone is bad, out of 32 teams, you're going to be right a few times. No apologies given.

Reason #2 - You went on and on and on about Burrows wrist and he's putting up elite numbers. You weren't even close to being right there. No apologies given.

17 points and blown out against a mediocre Eagles team and absolutely erased by the clown Giants is good to you? That wrist is cooked and that record proves it

Pasta Little Brioni 10-28-2024 12:19 PM

Well, everyone else DOES suck compared to the Chiefs under Mahomes, so yeah...

The wrist isn't even on a list of problems with this team.

rfaulk, at least you've stuck around to take your lumps and actually hold your own. More than I can say for that most of that malignant tumor that is the Donks thread... even if your team is a shit-stain.

You seem nice.

Bengals front office literally don't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to running an NFL franchise and are unquestionably the worst owners in the history of the sport, if not across major professional lines. The landscape is littered with Mike Brown blunders and acts of cheapness and he couldn't give 2 shits about what anyone thinks of him. His daughter is kind of a mixed bag but her husband, Troy Blackburn is a large human piece of shit. Whitworth kind of downplayed the stuff Troy said to his agent.

“We don’t have Andrew valued at that price,” Blackburn said. “He is an aging left tackle. Our offer stands. It will not increase. If he chooses to leave Cincinnati, all good things must come to an end, I guess.” That was the text Blackburn sent to Whit's agent after the Bengals offered about 50-60 percent of what the Rams offered. Whit went on to have 5 really good years with the Rams, get another All Pro and win a ring. The two guys the Bengals drafted to try and replace him...sub par JAG garbage.

It's almost amazing that Brown's grandaughters are the way they are; super engaging and understanding of how an NFL franchise should be run in fan engagement/experience. If only there was some way they could take over running the actual team on the field...

I can't begin to express the level of hatred and loathing i have for Mike Brown and the way he's run this franchise for the last 34 years. For the life of me, i can't figure out why i have such loyalty to a team run by a guy who couldn't give the aforementioned two shits about whethere me or any Bengals fan gets to experience a championship season.
