Purdy is facing as big of an uphill battle as he will maybe ever have on this big stage. Baltimore's defense, exotic with opponent-specific game plans and great back-end communication just like the Chiefs, gave him more fits than anyone has.

I'm thinking Spags continues to do what he does and we bury these ****ers. Let's hope the offense is mistake free and gets us up fast and we stay up. No more slow second half eithers.

I think the Chiefs have also had a pretty good warm up to the 49ers playing the Dolphins twice this season.

Both teams are very similar. Loaded with weapons, great running game with a very similar scheme, and limited game managers at QB.

Meanwhile, the 49ers have played nobody like the Chiefs.

Wow, look at the opposing QB’s the 49ers have played this season.

The best QB they played was Burrow and he shredded their defense.

After that, they played Stafford back in week two… Stafford up big numbers but the 49ers won.

Otherwise Lamar and then Love/Goff in the playoffs are the only halfway decent QB’s they have played this season.

Sounds like last year’s Eagles

I don't see this team blowing their second shot at a repeat. Just don't.

A LOT of stuff has battle hardened this team and made it as ready as a team can ever be going into this Super Bowl. I feel like that was part of why we fell apart against TB. That was a defending SB champion that really kinda cruised through the regular season.

They didn't face a ton of adversity UNTIL the playoffs. Morever, TB learned more from their matchup against us than we did (and the 2nd half of that game supports that).

The 49ers didn't get a crack at us this year. And this team most assuredly didn't cruise through the regular season.

Bottom line is that if we lose this game, I'm going to look back on this season (similar to the year we lost to Cincy) as one that got away. This SHOULD be a win.

The Chiefs' defense had gave up one (1) single positive yardage QB scramble on blitzes the entire year entering Baltimore. I'm not sure Lamar even had one either.

Purdy scrambling is a non-starter for me.

Wow, that is really impressive.

Who was the one positive scramble?

Healthier OL & QB this time. Hopefully they dodge the horrible off-the-field distractions, compared to last time with Coach Reid's son. They need this to be a very boring 10 days heading into the game.

Our saving grace is that Purdy has struggled hard against a top end defense, even with all the weapons at his disposal. And he hasn't had a single crack at Spags. I think he'll most certainly struggle at some point.

Hardman was one of Buffalo's MVP's a couple weeks ago.

Same as it ever was.

Spags sounds pretty damn enthusiastic about FAU today in his presser. He’s gonna play next week.

Why Not? 02-02-2024 01:21 PM

Pretty much. Only difference is that the Niners have a good TE while the Dolphins have some dudes. But the Dolphins have better WR so maybe it kinda evens out. Plus, Kittle has to stay in a lot to help block.
