This would be ideal. Getz is such an ironic player. The perception is that his bat is shit, which it pretty much is, and that his defense is solid, which it's not, but the numbers show the opposite.

He's a little over replacement level at the plate (stress on "a little") and slightly below replacement level in the field.

The Royals agree to terms with RHPs Aaron Crow, Louis Coleman, Luis Mendoza & Guillermo Moscoso & LHP Francisley Bueno on 1-year deals for 2013. With today's agreements, everyone on 40-man roster is signed for 2013.

I'm excited, too. Planning on buying a Sal Perez jersey this year. Any suggestions as to where I can get an authentic for the cheapest (not including the foreign knockoffs)? Checked the Royals site, they've got Hos, Moose, Butler & Gordo but no Salvy. I'm assuming if it's not on the site, they won't have it in the team store at The K....

See, instead of tilting his head slightly and closing his eyes before slowly leaning in (like he used to do), he now closes the distance as quickly as possible with his eyes WIDE OPEN. To see the ball better.

I'm trying to not get my hopes up this year as I know beating out the Tigers will be a major feat in itself but I'm going to really just try to enjoy this team. I think the pieces are there for a very solid ball club.
