For everyone bitching about us flopping and utilizing the refs, the Bills did exactly that last time.

They are gonna go after Jawaan and try to take a dive and throw their hands up and get a holding call. It worked last time

I think the intangible side of being 1 game away from the Super Bowl is important this week.

I’m sure Jones and Kelce coast at times throughout the year, and I don’t blame them for it.

Those guys are going to be locked in this week. Every snap. Every detail. They know what awaits.

Cooper -- Shakir -- Coleman -- Samuel -- Kincaid -- Knox

vs

McDuffie -- Watson -- Williams -- Johnson -- Reid -- Conner

Our linebackers keying on Cook and Ty Johnson. Spags strategically sending blitzes.

It's a tall, tall order. We're as equipped as anyone to deal with it. But it's a tall, tall order.

Of those 6 receivers - you can only play 4 at a time unless you are going empty. And honestly, the only WR that scares me is Shakir, and the only TE that bothers me is Kincaid. The rest of them are no better than what you see every Sunday. I'm not sure what you are spazzing over here. The running game is the key, IMO. You stop that, and you are in tall cotton.

Taylor gets ****ed on calls more than any player in the league and it's not even close.

I've seen at least 2 and I believe I recall 3 absolutely perfect pancake blocks (yours being one of them) flagged as holds against him. And a couple of those false start/illegal formation penalties called on him that just flat weren't.

I'll forever hate Collinsworth for this bullshit. It's ENTIRELY on him. And if/when they start letting people take liberties with Mahomes because Aikman is a ****ing ****, he'll be buried just as deeply on my shit list.

These broadcasters whining about the game are just so bad for the sport. I don't understand how the NFL hasn't laid into the networks for it.

I fear the RB in the passing game more than anything , bad matchup for our LB and we are notorious for not cover g the flat, their quick wr screen game is something we have defended well in the past . 50/50 and Allen scrambling will happen but this open backs out if the back field are annoying as hell.

What's hilarious is that all the reeruns on Twitter and other platforms use Taylor as an example of how the refs favor the Chiefs.

You heard that right.

I think fans trick themselves into believing in their teams every year. We all know there are only a few real contenders every season, but fans still tune in.

Blaming the refs gives the fans an excuse for their team sucking and makes it easier to believe “next time will be different if the refs don’t **** us”.

There are very few actually unbiased fans out there. I think the NFL likes playing into this a bit.

It’s kinda like protecting a babyface who loses in pro wrestling. He’ll almost always have an out, so he won’t be weakened in the eyes of the fan.

Same deal here.

*tinfoil hat off now*

****ing Aikman. You know damn well Mr "get back to me when he has 1/3 of my rings" is worried that by the end of all this, he will be the one with 1/3 of Mahomes' rings.

Like I said at the time - Mahomes has already put Aikman firmly in his rearview. There is NOBODY that will put Aikman on the same level as Mahomes historically (except for, oddly, Clay).

Troy needs to get over that shit. The argument is over - go home.

If Brady wanted to do that sort of thing I'd understand it. But NOBODY considers you Mahomes peer anymore, Troy. And nothing you say in that booth will change that.

This might provide somewhat of an explanation:

Quote:

I saved an article (1998) from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on the 10th anniversary of Art Rooney’s death. The article cover the history of art Rooney and the Steelers. the following statement is the excerpt from the article:

If anything, Rooney is remembered more fondly. He represented a kinder, gentler Pittsburgh, certainly a more innocent time in the professional sports world. He came long before before talk of Plan B, PNC Park, personal seat licenses, $17.6 billion television contracts, $25 million contracts for players and $2 million salaries for coaches.

"I don't think he'd be too thrilled about what's going on today," said Dan Rooney, who has run the Steelers since his father's death. "I can remember him telling me, 'You'll rue the day you take all that money from the networks. It won't be our game as much anymore. It'll be their game.' "

"He even told us late in his life that it would be OK if we ever decided to sell the team," Rooney Jr. said. "He reminded us we weren't big-money people . . .

I have never done that. I do defend Aikman, because he was a damn good QB. He was not a game manager.

I don’t know Clayster, those numbers are very game managerish

Aikman was good, and could have probably carried the franchise, but hard to ignore those numbers

Those numbers don't indicate anything. It was a different era, and the Cowboys had one wide receiver worth writing home about.

Applying 2024 analysis to 1993 football is about as dumb as it gets.
