One more thing of note from Nate Taylor.

Mahomes restructuring won’t happen until Friday. The player has to reach the bonus before you can convert it to a signing bonus.

Not sure if he’s right but that was his understanding of how it works.

Veach just doesn’t seem to be the type to trade back, and it takes two to tango, so I don’t even consider that much.

You come out with Dax Hill and Sam Williams in the first 2 rounds and it’s already an A- draft at least.

Possible. But in this scenario, I wonder if they'd look around for a vet to trade that first for if no one wanted to come up?

If you could, say, trade 30 to the Vikings for Theilan and their 2nd?

So we were at -6 million in cap space before the moves. Add the $11 million from Clark and then remove the $4.5 million cap hit from Reid and we’ll be at less than a million. Add in the Mahomes restructure and we should be at around $23 million. Definitely enough to get a WR and DE with how Veach structures his contracts.

Hill could be on the table because he can be your day 1 starter at nickel and give you an immediate impact. He allows you to move Sneed outside, which they flirted with last year.

He’s the only S I’d consider because you can get him on the field day 1.

Obviously, I’d prefer a pass rusher, WR, or an outside CB, but we were discussing the possibility of all of those guys being gone.
