That won't cover injuries or adding players to the 53.

They're stuck with him this year.

This. Dorsey guaranteed his salary for this year when he extended him. Hali isn't going anywhere unless it's in a trade. And who's going to trade for him at this point with that salary?

I have a feeling Tamba won't be on the depth chart long then.

I think Wilson starts next to DJ.

Eligwe's probably DJ's replacement next year.

If DJ is the old DJ he will be starting here as long as he continues to play. He continues to defy Father Time or he's either roiding it up.

Eligwe's probably DJ's replacement next year unless he just tears it up and they have no choice but to put him at TED.

I was wondering about that. Is he a Will or a Mike? We have seen them try to plug in Mauga, Wilson and March at DJ's spot when he was injured, but they were not able to play that side as well. We need someone that can play DJ's side. I hope that Eiigwe can be that man.

I wonder if they're trying to trade him

It would be one thing if he was healthy but which team is going to trade for a 33 year old guy that can't practice and is starting, for the second consecutive year, on the PUP list, and also has a $9 million dollar cap hit?

Hali's contract was grossly mishandled by Dorsey.

That might be a possibility. It knocks our dead money down to roughly $3M and we gain $5M in cap space.

Yea Eligwe's long term position is WILB, so that's how I see it playing out.

It's pretty clear that with the selection of Eligwe, the trade for KPL and even the re-signing of Mauga, ILB is a priority heading into the season.

I'm glad to see that it is a priority.

DJ, Mauga and JML were all hurt for extended periods of time last year. We needed to bulk up that entire position.

The Chiefs ran a series of short-yardage drills during Monday’s training camp session, offering a glimpse of what the team hopes will be an area of improvement this season.

Kansas City ranked 22nd in rushing attempts on first down (86) and 26th in first-down completion rate (20.9 percent) last season.
Glad to see they are working on this and making it a priority, but I am still pissed that we didn't acquire a true blocking TE. After Kelce, the rest of the lot couldn't block for shit.

I’ve been most impressed with what I’ve seen from Travis, but he’s had good training camps before

Uh, no, dipshit.

This is the second camp for Travis after being signed to the Practice Squad in 2015.

Travis had a decent camp (note, singular) in 2016, which allowed him to stick, but he fell apart during the regular season.

That report doesn't provide any further insight. It's just fanspeak.

I havnt heard anything on Sorenson. How is he looking?

He better look as good as he did last year considering we're overpaying him on his new contract.

It's Pete Sweeney who has been there the past 3 years

I don't care who wrote it, it comes across as fan speak.

And if Sweeney's been there the past three years, he's familiar with Smith looking like Favre in TC, then reverting to Alex Smith once the season begins and therefore should know better than to hype him at this time of the year.

There's no tackling right now, either. It's all just for mental work.
