The new Big12 seems like a good BBall conference.


But WV at ASU will not be a fun game for football to watch-at 11pm Eastern.

Yormark has already said he's looking at breaking out the basketball contract. I'm guessing he'll target Uconn and Gonzaga for hoops, but as far as football value, I don't think Uconn brings much.

Plus, taking ASU was probably a negotiation point with Arizona and possibly Utah/CU.

Lots of questions about this in the future

There's the question of whether the 12-team CFP will still reserve *six* spots for conference champions in 2024.

I think for UConn and Gonzaga, they'll open a separate contract for CMBB, and not tied to the Football Media deal.

True but ASU football vs anyone, anytime of the day usually is not a compelling game to watch.

Other than when they had Jake Plummer, I can’t recall when ASU football was nationally relevant.

The tv media deal covers both football and basketball

Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone, so night games could start earlier like games at Colorado probably will, but your point stands.

It’s 7 pm in WV and 4 pm in Az right now. But come the first weeend on Nov WV falls back

The goal is to announce as three tomorrow at 10 AM.
