I am not sure what metrics the Big 12 would look at as a comparison, but to me UConn adds way more value than Arizona State.

Arizona State barely adds the Phoenix market since Arizona is the flagship school in the state. Also Phoenix has a transient population and is not a college sports city.

I think if that comes down to that, I think they'll just add Arizona and re-evaluate at a later date.

Crow is not worth the trouble of bringing on. That's why I made this post below.

UConn would be a bigger market and a basketball school

ASU. Yeah I know it’s a bigger football school. Not basketball. But smaller market. What’s the value?

I did hear a rumor. Haven’t seen a “legit” rumkt where the B12 might go 18 schools snd addd Oregon Stare and Wash Stare

Ha!

They had to follow BYU.

Too bad, BYU didn't block them.

Sources: Both Utah and Arizona State have applied for formal membership to the Big 12 Conference, and there’s a call tonight with the Big 12's presidents and chancellors to discuss their membership. Arizona applied and was approved yesterday.

I was hoping for Florida State over either ASU or Utah :harumph:

Its a traditional football power on the east coast. And not much reason to double down on both Arizona and Utah when while having 2 schools in Florida actually make sense (while not having the major players, the B12 would have a heavy presence in both Texas and Florida)

I'm sure BYU tried.

From everything I've seen Utah wants absolutely nothing to do with BYU and why they don't want to be in the B12.

Florida Stare would never go to the B12

Big 12 won't add Oregon State and Washington State. They bring 0 value.

If they want out of the ACC, then why not?

Oregon president John Karl Scholz: "A few minutes ago, we were provided an invitation to join the Big Ten Conference. .. I urge us to accept that opportunity."

They want more money then what the B12 can offer. If they’re not happy with the ACC they won’t be happy in the B12

There are sone rumblings they might go independent
