I thought Rogan was gonna blow Diaz in the cage...Jesus Christ. I like Rogan too but his bias ass commentary ruins fights sometimes. Was a close fight too...

You are letting some sort of personsal bias get to you. |
Mcgregor looks way too small for these 155 guys, especially dos anjos.

He has to cut a shit ton to get to 145 lbs...he'd be fine and he hits like a brick shithouse. |

Just wasn't a fan of Rogan's commentary and he does it quite often... |

The point I was trying to make is that wasn't as completely lopsided as Rogan made it out to be. Johnson landed good shots and was in the fight. Nate landed more and won...it was a good fight. Not seeing what the big deal is... |
Quote:
Rogan was just commentating on what the rest of us saw. I didnt know if Johnson would survive 3 rds at a few points in the fight. |

Look I'm not saying he didn't win or anything lol...Rogan was just pissing me off. |
BTW if anyone is curious on what Diaz said post fight...the uncensored version is over at sherdog...funny shit.
Basically called out Conor in a colorful fashion. |

I want Conor/Nate just for the damn build up. |

Agreed on Conor-Diaz and I think it would be a fun fight to watch. |

He might be delusional, but Nate Diaz thinks he'll get the McGregor fight. In any event, its an entertaining interview.

lol, I just got a retweet from Nate Diaz. I can't do better than that tonight. Time to go to bed.

Interesting periscope Nick Diaz in the arena hallways waiting for Nate, then talking with him about the fight.

Not sure how much profit they made, but Lorenzo said that the UFC had $600MM in revenue for 2015.

Well, now we know why Anderson Silva was moved to the London card. The March PPV in Rio has been cancelled. Since it was never announced as UFC 197, I assume they will designate another event as UFC 197.
Apparently Brazil is going through a huge economic crisis right now, and they don't think they can support a large event like this. |

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Obviously Meltzer & John Morgan's tweets aren't confirmations, but I love that main & co-main. Hopefully it comes true. |
I was not going to pay for Silva vs Belfort, but I'm definitely on board if that is the new plan.

lol, one of the fighters who was cut this week found out from USADA. He was checking in letting them know where he was going to be, and they e-mailed him back saying oh, you don't need to do that anymore, you are no longer with the UFC.

Conor vs. RDA rumored for March in Dallas for the LW title...

I've spent the last 3 hours watching this RIZIN event, send help.
Getting past Akebono getting his head carved like a turkey by Sapp, the highlight was Andy Souwer kneeing Nagashima in the face repeatedly from side control/half guard until Nagashima spit a tooth out, followed by a stomp and then Souwer finishing him with an ultra combo. Check the fight out here. Fedor time. |
Goddamn someone needs to stop Sakuraba before he kills himself in a ring/cage...
|
sweet, got a code in my e-mail for half off UFC 195 if I buy it online. Apparently they have been sending them out to everyone who has been a fightpass subscriber from the beginning.

Cerrone will fight Tim Means at Welterweight on Feb. 21

Everyone made weight. The PPV tomorrow night is shallow, but that is a fantastic main event. Lawler vs Condit should be entertaining as hell.

Poirier vs Duffy coming up in about a half hour. Easily the best early fightpass fight ever, not sure why they put this fight in so early.
|
LOL, smooth Dana.

Great fight so far.
|
I really would've liked to have seen a 5 rounder between these two. Great fight.
|
That fight was great. The scores look one-sided but it was closer than the scores look.
|
OK, 2.5 hours until the next fight that I sorta care about. I'll still have the prelims up on my TV in case someone I'm not familiar with does something nutty.
|
At this rate, the canvas is going to be almost completely red by the time Condit and Lawler walks out.
|
This strawweight fight has been pretty cool
|
Never seen so many haymakers thrown and missed in a round. They both emptied a large chunk of their tank and neither fighter is hurt.
|
So far the theme of the night (except for Poirier/Duffy), is lots of enthusiasm, lots of blood, very little technique.
|
2nd broken nose of the night
|
Holy shit what a quick change to yhe fight
|
Was really rooting for McDonald, glad to see him win. Crazy to think he's still only 24.
EDIT: nice fence grab using his toes in order to get enough leverage to loosen Kanehara's grip. |
Kinda smart move by the UFC to give their craziest fans (longtime fightpass subscribers) a big discount on this PPV.
I've never ordered a PPV on the computer before, if it works out, I may just order them from the UFC instead of from Mediacom. |
anyone have a good stream link?
|
LOL, nice. The UFC decided to drop their stylized muzak version of "face the pain", and just went back to their old PPV production open.
|
Your fight is not a PPV guys, you don't have to sell it

We've had two consecutive fights without any blood on a card headlined by Lawler. This is not acceptable.
|
First fight today since Poirier/Duffy that I sort of care about.
|
Barring insane judging, I don't think Ortega can win a decision. He now has to have a finish. What he's been doing is great for not getting hurt, but not so much for winning a fight.
|
God damn! That was ****ing delicious.
|
Ortega definitely earned that finish.
|
That was some crazy BJJ. Think Ortega may have just been throwing the first 2 rounds away to tire out DB.
|
One more hour until Condit and Lawler sustain brain damage for our amusement
|
does anyone have a good link?
|
This 3rd round is interesting. Tumenov is winning the fight, but his leg is really ****ed up. He's got to somehow make it to a decision without letting Larkin chop him down.
|
I don't think that will be enough. Tumenov is obviously hurt, but if you don't actually destroy the leg, its hard for a judge to see how badly hurt the leg is.
